Question about Acer Extensa 4620 Notebook

I Acer Extensa / AT&T usb wireless card

I bought an Acer Extensa laptop, and when I load my at&t wireless card, the software loads up fine, but as soon as I reboot, the screen is black. I cannot do anything unless I restore to factory settings. If I do not reboot after installation, I can use the internet just fine. Any suggestions?

We tried to use a AT&T USB aircard....They plugged it in, software ran for about 10 minutes, went for reboot and heard a sizzling sound. We had to reinstall with recovery CD.....

did your wireless come with a cd

if so go to add and remove programs completely remove any installed wireless connections

then run your cd and it should tell you when to plug your wireless in.

    Usually needing restart

Sir, i want to connect my acer extensa 4630z laptop into a RF Wireless optical mouse. give me detaile with demo if u can

Put the AAA size batteries (2 in numbers) into the optical mouse minding the polarities as shown on the Optical mouse battery tray. Connect the USB wireless transmitter from the Optical mouse to your Laotop. Wait for the drivers to load. If the driver does not load automatically, put in the driver CD or download the driver from the manufacturer site.

Cannot load driver for wireless card

Try the web address below. It is for Acer USA and should take you directly to the download site. Just choose "Notebook" then your model number, etc. and all the available driver downloads should show up. Hope this helps!

Cannot print from laptop to printer using wireless print server

This is probably the Software Firewall on your laptop

you should probably tell your firewall software that you have an internal network (Laptop-desktop-printer) you should add the IP range of the wireless network as a trusted network.

How do I download my camera's memory card onto my acer extensa

The "odd shaped port" you are referring to is most likely:

The Express Card slot (replacing the slot known as “PC-Card” replacing the slot formerly known as “PCMCIA”) are the biggest standard slot on a laptop designed to handle stuff like wireless cellular modems with antenna and micro hard drives. Most people won’t ever use this slot, but it’s a lot faster than it’s old relatives now that it connects directly to PCI-Express. From: www.geek.com

Do NOT put your memory card from your computer into that slot. Since you have indicated that the USB cable connector option will not work, you will have to go out and buy a memory card reader that is compatible with you memory card. They are relatively inexpensive and easy to find at most electronics stores. Plug in the card reader (USB) and seat in your memory card and the OS of your laptop should detect the card and allow you to download the pictures.

Hope this helps!
