Question about LG TROMM WM2688H 4.0 cu.ft. Front Loading SteamWasher

Water remains in detergent drawer

I have had my front loading LG Tromm washer for about 1 year and I love it, but sometimes water remains in the detergent drawer after the wash is completed. I do use the proper detergent for this machine and this only happens with the detergent drawer, not the fabric softener or bleach drawer.

Apparently, the detergent is pumped out into the machine for the wash cycle, but then fills with water during the rinse cycle and doesn't pump out. Does anyone else have this problem and can anyone suggest a solution?

There is not enough water pressure to rinse out the detergent or bleach cups. Check if you water hoses are kinked or if the water intake filters are clogged. To clean the intake filters, shut off the water, disconnect the hoses from the machine. Inside the intake ports are small screens with little plastic handles. CAREFULLY pull the screens out using the little plastic handles, and hold up to a light. If they are dirty, rinse under a tap and replace. Reconnect the hoses, making sure you firmly tighten them.

I solved the problem. Water fills the liquid detergent drawer during the wash cycle and a siphon is created to **** the detergent out the blue tube molded into the detergent drawer. We had a bad batch of liquid detergent (too viscous) and it clogged the siphon tube. I simply pull the white cap off, cleaned everything out with hot water and presto - it worked again. To test, hold the liquid detergent drawer under the tap and slowly fill. When the water level passes the maximum level, a siphon is created and the water gets siphoned out of the tray. Once I got it cleaned out, I tossed the crappy liquid detergent and got a new bottle. It works fine now.

Why is water sitting in soap dispenser pullout drawer?

Water remaining in soap dispenser. In front loading washers made by LG (some Kenmore too), water may remain filled in the soap dispenser after the wash cycle. This may be caused by the siphon tube being contaminated by detergent residue. To clear it, remove the siphon cover from the tube, and clean them thoroughly, making sure that all residue is removed. Replace the cover and make sure it seats properly all the way down. This will ensure that the siphon starts and continues until the dispenser tray is emptied. A small amount of water, a half inch or less, remaining is normal. There is a video on YouTube that suggests buying a new detergent tray. Try cleaning it first. There are no parts that will break or wear out under normal use.

Lg tromm washer leaks from detergent drawer

my washer also was leaking from the dispenser and I had a cap from one of the detergent bottles stuck in the inlet hose. Don't know how it got in there but glad I found it so if your washer leaks from the soap tray it could be a cap from your detergent bottle stuck in there.

Yes the system is cloghed. Pull the detergent drawer out and clean the drawers housing. try using some bleach. It allways helps.

BE ADVICED: after using bleach run quick wash cycle on without any load, it's just to get rid of all bleech remains and not to damage your clothes

Lg tromm front loader washing machine display panel reading l-E.

error code 'IE' means water does not enter the detergent drawer..if your water is hard or contains traces of lime deposits, the water inlet filter may become clogged..regular cleaning is suggested..clean the filter using hard bristle brush..

note: hard water is the one not undergone any treatment..in other words it is directly from the ground through your water pump and to the washer.
