Question about Hotpoint NVL333EY Electric Dryer
After using the dryer a couple off times, it becomes extremely hot and it turns off. We let it cool off and the dryer turns on again. The dryer does dry.

You may have a bad thermal limiter item # 1236 and your thermal safety switch is cutting in to disable power to your heater before it causes a fire. You may have a bad power resistor item # 1114 as well. Difficult to say which component is defective without being able to take measurements.. Hope this gets you headed in the right direction. Please remove or disable power before attempting to trouble shoot ( if you are doing this yourself)
