SOURCE: Copies and prints but won't scan
if your scanner is on a wireless network, you will need to make sure the scanner address in epson scan settings matches the address your router has assinged to it. The DHCP address. Log on to your router by typing 192.168.2.1 or some variation thereof into your window internet explorer address bar. or find out how to log on to your router via the manufacturer of the router. When you do that find the DHCP client list and see what address your router has assigned to your scanner. Once you have this address open epson scan settings and delete the current information there, then add a new scanner by manually entering the address you got from the router.
I have to do this all the time!!!

Try uninstalling your printer, rebooting the computer, then re-installing your printer. If this does not work, it will require the printer top cover to be removed for further investigation. Either take the printer to a technician to investigate, or if you want to have a go yourself, post a new comment to this effect and I will provide information on how to proceed.

try downloading the latest drivers from epsons website. if coping is working and printing is working, it sounds like a software problem. Its possible there is a bug in the scanner part of the drivers.

if the unit is directly connected via USB, another program or prev installed scanner software is using "the path" to communicate with the scanner. Can only use one scanner at a time with windows.
