Not sure what you mean, but I assume that you mean that your computer starts to boot but never completes the boot process into Windows, it just freezes. Am I correct?

How can i change the real time clock....

a. Click Start, type services.msc and hit ENTER.

b. Locate Windows Time.

c. Right-click and select Restart.

there can be a number of things that can halt the boot process
bios settings not right
bad or faulty leads
faulty bootmanger

make sure there are no disks in cd floppy usb drives

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE)) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

if its a flat ribbon 40 pin IDE it will be the fist to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs data and power to travel through every working device and to continue its cycle and to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
also make sure you have set it boot from you hard drive in BIOS
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the using arrow key scroll down to advanced bios features press enter make sure your first boot device is set to your hard drive press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

IDE-0 means Pri master ?
IDE-1 means Pri slave ?
IDE-2 means Sec master ?
IDE-3 means Sec slave ?
hope it helps

Restart your computer with the XP Setup disk in the CDROM drive.
If you are prompted to press a key to start the computer from CDROM, do so quickly. Otherwise it may try to boot from the hard drive. After a few minutes, you'll see a prompt to press the R key to start the Recovery Console. When Recovery Console starts, it will prompt you to enter a number corresponding to the Windows XP installation that you need to repair. In most cases, you'll enter "1" (which will be the only choice). If you press ENTER without typing a number, Recovery Console will quit and restart your computer. Enter your Administrator password. If you don't enter the correct password, you cannot continue. At the Recovery Console command prompt, type fixmbr and then verify that you want to proceed. Your damaged MBR will be replaced with a shiny new one, and you should then be able to boot your system normally. In some cases, you may need to repair the boot sector in addition to the MBR. If your system still doesn't boot properly, repeat the steps above, but issue the fixboot command instead

X5DAL-G restart

if theres a click, then its either the hard drive or the monitor click when it shuts off, motherboards don't make a sound. When its starting up press F8 to enter safe mode and select last known good configuration and see if it starts as normal, but is sounds as though the boot.ini is damaged on a bad sector of the hard drive and either try a windows repair or replace the hard drive.
