Copies have ghost image

I have a Minolta CSPRO EP1081. Copies have a ghost image. The beginning of the copy ghosts onto the end of the same copy. Can I clean the copier ?

Yes. although I would first check the fuser unit. It is located the exit side of the copier. let the copier cool down before handaling the teflon fuser roller. The upper roller has a teflon coating, if it is worn the image will not transfer properly to the paper thus leaving a duplicate / ghost image. Good luck

Getting ghost images on copies, meter reading is approx 2000 copies.


Ghosts are normally caused by the fuser but with such a low meter, we'd look elsewhere. Try changing paper or feeding a regular sheet through the bypass tray at a card stock setting.

If the ghosts disappear then that proves that the fuser issues are the best suspects. The fuser/ fixing assembly PN is FG6-7947-150 if it ends up that it's bad.

Change the charge corotron or the charge roller and the OPC blade.

AR-M355 Latent copies.


This make is not my specialty, but if the fuser's been replaced, then it can only be a drum cleaning issue causing that problem.

Machine makes a loud wheezing noise just before


Mite have a broken gear in the fusing section (Hot Part) unplug machine and open **** shell and look to the left (if standing in front of machine) the left side rear is the fusing drive section check all gears also remove image unit and check gears

Ghosting on my laser printer


You just need to run more print outs to clear the ghosting.

Print quality


Ghosting can :
1-prints on the fuser roller, check if yes try cleaning it off, wait until it cools off

2-blanking lamps dirty or not working,(deletes image off the drum, before it gets ready to accept a new one)

it is a drum moisture problem.protect your machine from moisture.keep your paper carefully.if the drum catridge crossed life (50000 copies) replace the same.
