Question about HP 4250 Monochrome LaserJet Printer

Printer does not print jobs but shows them as ready

This is a networked printer on a MS Windows network. The network cable is connected and we have a green light. We also see a blinking light (called the heart beat) which is not blinking on my other 4250's in this building.

How to fix 49.2fa7 error

Try again with out connecting network cable or usb cable . If the message does not come on, you have a bad job trying to print each time the printers signals the network it is ready. You need to delete the bad job. Sometimes you can keep the network cable disconnected until it comes to ready and then plug it in and keep hitting the cancel button in attempt to cancel the job, but most times you need to delete the job at the computer or server which is sending it.

My Hp office-jet Pro X576 printer is connected via a network and if l send a print job it displays printer error switch off machine and the printer restarts .if l use usd it works fine

I would ensure that you have the current firmware installed on the printer and make sure that you are sending the job via network with a correct driver. If you manually set the IP address on your computer and the printer you should be able to connect direct using a crossover cable, I do that in the shop all the time.

What does the error message - 49.4C02 - mean?

49 errors are often caused by the printer receiving commands it does not understand. Sometimes hardware failures but not often. To determine hardware or software, turn the printer off. Unplug any network or USB cables attached and turn printer on. If it will come to ready with no cables attached, then likely you have a print job that is causing problems. This can be fixed by installing the latest firmware from HP.com. Download the Easy Firmware Update Utility version. To install this update you need to have the printer connected to the computer, so check the print queues to make sure that there are no print jobs pending, delete them if there are. Plug the network or USB cable back in. Wait a couple of minutes to make sure that the 49 error does not come back. If printer stays on ready, run the upgrade utility and your problems should be gone. If it is a hardware issue then a different set of trouble shooting steps applies. Post back if this does not fix your problem.

Hp 2840 won't stop printing

power off the printer. removed the network cable only. power on until it display ready. now print a config sheet or menu map. if it print without error then connect the network cable and print config sheet again. wait and observed. if it will start printing garbage then KILL the print jobs queued on the printer. after deleting all print jobs power off and power on printer with network cable connected. I hope that will fix the problem. by the way. was there any error display in the panel display like "49.4C02". etc.

Hp 4700 49.3066 service error

49.xx errors are mostly caused by invalid print commands, corrupt
data, or invalid operations. Basically the printer "does not understand" the print job.

- restart the printer to clear the print job from the printer's memory.

-if the error returns disconnect the network/USB cables from the unit and cycle power again.
If the error comes back without the network/USB connected perform a cold reset on the device and go the next step.
- Once the unit is at Ready reconnect the network/USB cable.

If the unit gets the 49.xx error or begins to print a job then gets the error disconnect the cables again and power cycle the printer. This time when you plug the network/USB cable in watch the control panel for any signs of the unit receiving a print job. When the printer says "Processing" press the cancel button on the printer. This should clear the "bad" print job.

I strongly recommend updating to the latest driver for the device Drivers Software . If you had an issue with a PDF file use the Post Script (PS) driver.

Good Luck

Printing blank pages

I am assuming that the printer is connected to a network. Please check the network cables to make sure they are secured, and then try printing the network setup page. The network setup page will show status connected. If the status is not connected, contact your system support person to make sure the network is functioning correctly

Before sending a job to print, make sure the printer is set to ready state. Ready or Power Saver appears on the display. Please check the status of the toner and check that you are using the correct printer driver.

Printer driver is available on the Lexmark website for download. If no fix, for other information please click the link http://bit.ly/k2p8B5

For additional assistance, please contact Lexmark technical support.

49.4c02 problem.

A 49 error is a corrupt print job. Delete your pending print job then reboot the printer. OR unplug the network cable, reboot printer, it will say Ready. Do not plug in network cable otherwise you will get 49 error. Plug in USB cable, download Firmware upgrade from HP.COM, then plug network cable back in and watch as the previously corrupted print jobs translate fine and print print print ;)

Our Ricoh MP 171 devices go offline after one

have you tried doing a local connect using a crossover cable to the printer to see if it is the printer or the 2k3 server?
I have seen this issue when terminal services are enabled on the server.
if when you connect locally to the device using x-over it still does it it may need to have the nib firmware updated, however if it doesnt I would run a packet sniffer on the network jack that the device is plugged into and check to make sure that the port is good and transmitting and receiving all packets check the network cable and replace that and if all else fails try the device on a different network port.

Status on print job says offline dell m5200

a few questions:

-Do you know this printer IP?
-Can you ping this printer?
-How many printers do you have on your network?
-Did all the printers on your network offline or just this printer?
-Did you check the network cable that connected to your printer?

solution:
-you might try to restart printer spooling service on your print server
or
-If your server is still functional, you might try to reinstall/set up this printer on network
