Question about HP Digital Cameras

HP E327 camera is not responding when usb cable is connected. My WIA is stared and working, but nothing will read that my camera is connected, neither in Windows or Picasa or Photosmart Essential. When I try to install the E327 camera disc it won't let me install saying something is missing to complete install. Haven't a clue.

It is working I have installed new printer with it. It's something I've done, probably with my Regisitry Cleaner by accident. (?)

Please help! My Photosmart E327 camera is not responding to the computer with the usb cable. It does not recognize the camera at all in Picasa, photosmart Essential, or Windows. My disc for it is working fine but at the end of the install it tells me something is mising for the install. My WIA is up and running so I have no idea.

  • yorkiegirl1 Nov 24, 2008

Some files r not able to get copied from your camera installation disc so the installation does not get completed.u will have to download the necessary software online to get it installed properly.

What OS are you using on the computer? You may need to install the required software for your camera. Here is a link where you can download the drivers: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=1145684&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=382085&prodSeriesId=1145683

If it is missing some files, you may need to re-install it for it to work properly.

What is the error message that you are getting on the computer? Can you detect the camera when you plug it to the USB port of the computer?

I would suggest to completely remove the HP application then reinstall it again. If you have deleted some files on the registry, you may try removing the HP software on it then reinstall it again. It is risky going in the registry but to be safe, you just need to edit it on the Users or Current users option.

Do a system restore. It will be the last option.

First check the installation disc in any other machine to confirm is it working.

When I plug in the usb cable, my computer says "unrecognise USB device was pluged"...how to make it recogniseable?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

It's a USB cable. Take your camera to a store like Walmart and the clerk will be able to set you up with the proper size.

How do i get my pictures from my camera to my computer?

If you have the HP Photosmart software loaded on the PC, it is very easy. Just connect your camera to your PC using the supplied USB cable with the power OFF on the camera. Once connected, turn the camera on and use the Transfer images from camera/card selection of the menu. The software will do the rest. You can also use a Card Reader, insert the card and connect it to a USB port. Treat it like any other removable drive. Go to My Computer and explore the new "removable drive", Drag the files to your folder of choice on the PC. The memory card is accessed via a door on the side of your camera. do u have a card that u put in your camera like a sound card. if so then you can put this into your comuter if your computer has a card reader. if not you can purchase one and it hooks up to your computer with usb cable. then you can transfer your photos onto your computer.

Can not connect to USB Port - Error Message (Warning - Drive G:\ containing photos in library has been disconnected. Please reconnect drive and click retry.) Never have gotten this message after hun

Try unplugging a few other things like USB hubs before plugging in the camera. If this does not work, please advise what other messages you get when attempting to connect the camera.
If you are PC savvy, check out device manager in control panel to see if this gives you any more indication as to what the problem is.

My Photosmart E327 won't switch on.

Resetting the camera
If your camera does not respond when you press any
buttons, try resetting the camera as follows:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. If you have an optional memory card installed, remove it.
(Although removing an optional memory card is not
necessary for performing the reset, it eliminates the
memory card as a possible cause of the problem.)
3. Remove the batteries from the camera for 5 to 10
seconds.
4. Reinsert the batteries and close the Battery/Memory card
door.
5. After verifying that the camera works without an optional
memory card, turn off the camera and reinsert the card if
you have one.

HP Phtosmart E327 camera

The reason for no images on the rear screen[this is what you mean is it not?] can be any thing from backlight failyre to a circuit fault.
Nothing that you can do or repair.
Make sure the battery contavts on the camera are clean, and if they are then contact HP customer support for advice.
If the Camera is fairly new they may offer ro replace it free..
