TV will not stay on

Hi,
If lamp has not been replaced in tv in last 2-3 years, then replace the lamp as symptom shows that lamp has reached to end of its working life span and causing that problem.
Lamp is not dead or broke but weak so you get above said problem in tv.

The front panel LED light indication "LAMP" flashes?Change the the tv projection lamp or LED lamp first,see what happen?Than go from there?Tvs with "LAMP" LED indication light flashes,tv 1 1/2 or 2 years old use like 4 or 5 hours a day.The projection or LED lamp or bulb,inside life span is over.Require changing LED lamp or projection bulb.

remove lamp assy and see if is bad,4 year is abouth time fornew lamp.

It is clear symptom that lamp is near to end of its wroking life and tv needs lamp replacement.
Please replace lamp in tv to get it back in business. Lamp replacement procedure would be written in user manual and its easy.
Please buy Sony original lamp for good picture.

MY philips tv model number 55PL9773/17 WAS TURNING OFF THE SCREEN AND LEAVING THE AUDIO ON FOR ONE MINUTE. THEN THE YELLOW LIGHT STAYED ON. THEN THE LIGHT TURNED OFF. thEN I TURNED ON WITH THE REMOTE AND THE YELLOW LIGHT TURNED ON AND A FEW SECONDS LATER CHANGED TO THE GREEN LIGHT AND THE TV TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BETWEEN 10 AND 30 IT DID THE SAME THING. NOW IT IS OFF WITH A BLINKING RED LIGHT PERMANENTLY ON. TO TURN IT OFF I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL. I REPLACE THE LAMP A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IT IS FINE.

It's simple. Your TV does not like you. Perhaps you need to speak kindly to it before you force it to watch BBC for hours. Buy it a scone.

How many times Red Lamp flashes, its important as it shows problem and its location in tv. Below is detail of lamp blinks and you may know the problem area in tv by counting lamp flashes.

the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
