It appears like the power supply is dying on your TV. There are capacitors that become defective and will need to be replace to restore the TV functionality.
Let me know if you need further assistance, I service these power supplies.

My westing hous hdtv is stuck on channel 35-3 and will not switch to another channel, the remote doesn't work and neither do the buttons on the side of the tv, the power button works but won't

Try to unplug power from set for a while and plug back to reboot--immediately delete that channel from the set's memory as it may contain signal that is causing this.

Also look to see if the set has a feature to lock out the buttons and or the remote control---a few do.

Most likely something in the signal for that set caused the set to lock up.

The picture went black, but the tv still has audio

The back light inverter board may have gone out, or ir is not getting 24vdc from the power supply module, check those two places.

Westinghouse 32'' LCD TV Static

while you have warranty on the parts you should be getting it to a servicer to get it corrected
do not wait on doing this its not a hazard but it could be a signal board and that could be 300 or better for that part alone so you want to get something done straight away

I had the same problem....turned out it was the "lvds" cable that runs from the mainboard to the lcd controller board. Simply remove the tape that holds it to the back of the backlight housing and also remove the foil shielding tape from the connector on the lcd controller board.

i had the same problem...but its simple...u need a Phillips screwdriver....on the back of the tv next to part that sticks out farther than the rest of the tv... there are 4 holes with phillip screws....u can almost make a rectangle out of it... take those screws out... then the tv stand slides right out.
