Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer
After the the washer fills up, I have to smack the top of the washer to start the agitation. I really enjoy beating on it but my hands get sore so I am hoping someone could tell me if its a loose electrical connection or something. The washer will sit filled with water on idle till I hit it. Help please.
Your washers lid switch could be worn and need to be replaced. Depending upon the model you may see a small peg on the washer lid that mates with a hole on the machine. The switch is located beneath this hole. You can try poking the switch with a pen or similar object to see if it activates the wash cycle. it will only work if the switch indicates that the lid is closed.
