SOURCE: tray error

I saw on another JVC systems manual that its an error message that shows when the tray isn't fully open due to an obstruction. If you can locate a manual eject button(usualy you'll need to insert some tip into it) it will help you eject the tray and look for any obstructions, anything looking out of the ordinary there. at least that way you'll be able to take your cds out... You can also try disconnecting the system from all power sources for a few days(including an internal battery), maybe the reset will jog it back to working order. If you're out of warranty and know your way around those things, try taking it apart, cleaning as much as you can, and look for anything out of the ordinary, like broken gears or pins, bent parts, a cog, etc. Good luck

SOURCE: System unresponsive when modes are switched

Sounds like there may be a glitch in the microprocesor. Make sure when you unplug it that you leave it along for a few days and is there any type of clock or standby batterys in it take them out as well. If that dosent correct the problem your gonna need a service manual to trace the switch pulse to see if the units Switch matrix lines are low or lost because of a faulty micro or a bad componet like a small caps they install on the matrix to keep noise off them. Hard one to call with out seeing unit and analizing unit Good Luck

SOURCE: my jvc wont play disc's

Hello

OK, if you already tried to clean the laser lens, you might be out of luck, because it is the laser lens which cases this problem.

You can try running another laser lens cleaner disc, if this doesn't work, the lens itself is burnt out.

Sorry..

Kind regards
Andrea

My JVC TH-G30 gives me a locked message when I try to open the load tray what should I do?

hello Setting the disc ejection lock
You can lock the disc tray to prevent the disc form
being ejected.
When the main unit is turned off, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds
If you attempt to open the disc tray by pressing
OPEN/CLOSE key, the disc tray does not open and
“LOCKED” appears in the display window.
To cancel the disc ejection lock, hold down the STOP
key at the front panel for 5 seconds again when the
main unit is turned off.
“UNLOCKED” is displayed in the display window.
Note:
Before the main unit is turned off, DVD/CD function
should be selected.

If you know how to measure, then check Transformer output (Low voltage). If not good, replace the transformer

I am getting the locked display

Hi Blackhawk,
This sounds like you've accidentally set the "tray lock" feature.
You can set this to stop unwanted tray ejections:

I hope this solves your problem..

Failure to detect dvd/cd. 'no disc' appears. Radio+ aux still ok.

Hi,
You are having the issue with the tray with the lense problem thats why you are getting the " NO DISK" error, so you need to replace the entire kit that is tray with motor lense.

Jvc xv-thc3 tray is frozen

The changer mechanism needs to be manually reset. Maybe due to a broken gear.

My dvd/cd try does not open when i press the eject button say "locked"

That means your trays are on Child Lock (this is a safety feature to prevent any accidental opening or closing of disc trays by small children when listening to your favorite tracks.)
To solve this, simply switch off your radio to Standby and hold the power button...whilst holding the power button, press open on the tray that is locked....the system will display UNLOCKED on the display of your hi-fi.

That should be it. To lock the tray....repeat the same process on the particular tray u want locked.

Tempremental playing dvds

In response to your jvc-a75r DVD player, sometimes the solution might be less complex than it may appear. Had the same problem with my Samsung s321,the machine refused to read DVD's but would play CD's no problem. Simply opened up the cover(usually)4-6 small screws, and found my dog's hair inside of the player covering the laser eye.Electrostatic ionization attracts dust, etc. into the player remarkably well sometimes. Carefully used a cotton swap to remove debri. PLayerworked fine afterwards ...Good luck!
