Most monitors made in the last decade will put some kind of warning on the screen if they are not receiving a video signal so if you get no on-screen display at all, regardless of whether the system is on or off, you probably have a monitor failure.
Try to borrow a monitor temporarily so you can try the following:
- If the borrowed monitor also shows nothing; your card has failed. - If it does give you a normal display, go to the Control Panel, open theSystem folder, select Hardware, then Device Manager. If there is no 'X' next to the Display adaptors, expand that entry and delete the monitor shown. Then go to the Monitor entry, if there is no 'X' next to the entry, expand it and delete the monitor listing.
- Power down the system.  - Disconnect the borrowed monitor and reconnect yours.  Make sure the standby or power LED is on your monitor. - Restart the system
If Windows has simply trashed the driver, it should 'find' a 'new device' and install some kind of basic driver.
If nothing has worked; then the card is dead. If it worked with the borrowed monitor, then your monitor is dead.
BTW; if you really have had the card only 'weeks,' it will still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty; most Palit cards I saw when searching had at least a one year warranty.

If your graphics card works on another pc but not on yours then you should try another graphics card on your pc. If it also doesn't work it means it's a problem with your motherboard.

No color Red, Dell XPS 400, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE video card

Mike,

I would recommend for you to try different monitor, so that you can isolate the problem.

If same problem occur, try to plug in your video card into another PCI slot in your computer. Cleaning the gold fingers of the video card with a clean cotton cloth might help.

Use a blower to remove some dust on the PCI slot.

Or try inserting the video card in another computer. If you get the same problem on another computer, you need to replace the card.

Good luck!

Have 7200 GS PCI-E and after working fine for 18 months, am now getting flickering intermittent black horizontal lines on my lcd monitor. suspect the graphics card as monitor tested fine on another pc....

Take out the graphics card and clean the contacts on both sides (a rubber on the end of a pencil is good for this) and retry. If possible try the graphics card in another computer.
If all this fails - get a new card!

Sounds like your getting conflicts with running two different card drivers. I've never heard of running a PCI and a PCIe card at the same time.

I have an asus mother board with athlon64 3800+ cpu. I have two dual head nvidia geforce 6600 vid cards ea. w/ 1 pcie and 1 pci output to sli and vga, respectively. I barely know what I'm talking about...

sounds like your computer is going into standby or sleep mode. Does hitting enter on the keyboard turn it back on? Does pressing the power button turn it back on? One of those should do it.

You can change it so it does not do this, In windows xp you can goto power options in the control panel, and change system standby to 'never'. Not sure in vista probably about the same thing.

If this doesn't help then maybe you have a hardware problem.

As far as I am aware, you can not run an ATI card in the same system as an Nvidia card due to driver conflicts.

Second monitor no longer detected by NVIDIA GeForce 7950GT / on Vista

A quick question, Are your monitors using a DVI output from your graphics card?

When was the last time you remember them both working, and what display driver was you using?

have you tried swapping both vga/dvi cables round and booting in safe mode?

see if that helps..
