Question about Palit Microsystems PalitDaytona GeForce2 MX400 (64 MB) PCI Graphic Card
My porblem is that my pci card is new and worked fine for many weeks
but now when turn on my computer the monitor dont come on and the monitor led light keep blinking but nothin happens after that what is the problem plz help me i dont want to buy a new card because i dont have cash for it these days.
Most monitors made in the last decade will put some kind of warning on the screen if they are not receiving a video signal so if you get no on-screen display at all, regardless of whether the system is on or off, you probably have a monitor failure.
Try to borrow a monitor temporarily so you can try the following:
- If the borrowed monitor also shows nothing; your card has failed. - If it does give you a normal display, go to the Control Panel, open theSystem folder, select Hardware, then Device Manager. If there is no 'X' next to the Display adaptors, expand that entry and delete the monitor shown. Then go to the Monitor entry, if there is no 'X' next to the entry, expand it and delete the monitor listing.
- Power down the system. - Disconnect the borrowed monitor and reconnect yours. Make sure the standby or power LED is on your monitor. - Restart the system
If Windows has simply trashed the driver, it should 'find' a 'new device' and install some kind of basic driver.
If nothing has worked; then the card is dead. If it worked with the borrowed monitor, then your monitor is dead.
BTW; if you really have had the card only 'weeks,' it will still be covered by the manufacturer's warranty; most Palit cards I saw when searching had at least a one year warranty.
