Frigidaire during cleaning F1 error,

Model CGES387CS1, slide in model, when i put it on clean, last time it made a popping sound and wouldnt work anymore, had to replace control panel. Now again when cleaning it has malfunctioned, F1 error, and keeps trying to con't to clean, keep pushing cancel, tried unplugging it for a while, but it keeps -locking, cleaning, error code and beeping. this has got to be a defect but frididaire wont agree there is a defect. its like when being cleaned it gets too hot and affects the control panel. I had to pay $530 to repair last time! i could have bought a new stove for that! now it is happening again and will cost $600 to fix!

F1 means its your electronic control and it will probably cost you the same amount to get this problem fixed again. The part is usually $350 plus.

When turning oven on there is a beeping sound and error code F1

Most of the answers are correct, the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) is either damaged or shorted. I've also seen the F1 code come up on the version 2 and 3 units when the temperature probe was shorted. But most likely your EOC is damaged and needs to be replaced. Since you didn't give us a model number we can't give you any more info. Good luck

I just had the same problem! If I ever see that f9 again and hear that annoying constant beep....I will pick up and dispose of that oven on the front lawn. Lol. Took a pair of pliers and turned the lock clock wise till the light went out. Silence!

I have a Frigidaire Range Model fef363sgwa and it is sometimes giving an F1 code and other times when you turn it on, it tries to go into clean mode. Any ideas on what is most likely part to replace.

Hello,
This tip i wrote explains exactly what the F1 error code is and what should be replaced. http://www.fixya.com/support/r10005546-f1_code_means_oven

The part number for the touch pad on your model is 316101103 its only available as part of the clock/control asm.

Frequent beeping sound with a display of F1 on the digital clock screen. This problem occur at all times night and day.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F1 error indicates that the control board (ERC) has gone bad and the electronic range control (ERC) should be replaced to resolve the issue. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

What does the error code F1 indicate, on a Wolf Oven?

I had the same problem with a Wolf L-Series double wall oven (Model DO30) and called for service (under extended warranty contract). The tech told me that the F1 error is a latch problem (you know the one that grabs and locks the door during self-clean cycles). He cleared the error using a series of "secret" button presses on the control panel and the problem cleared. Now, when it happens (which isn't very frequently), I do the same thing he did ... press "0" and "Temperature" for the oven causing the problem and hold them for about 5 seconds. The oven will ding and the display will show some diagnostics, including the error event. Press "Cook Time" and "Stop Time" while in this diagnostic mode to clear the error register, then press "Off". I've also tried to keep the area across the top of the oven opening clean (with a little degreaser), especially around the latch, and I've sprayed a bit of WD-40 into the latch periodically for lubrication and cleaning.

I have the F1 appeares at the front and ringing all the time

Sorry. Your electronic oven control (clock) is bad and must be replaced.
Before you do that you might try opening the control panel.
Unplug the range from power.
Unplug the connections to the control wait 30 seconds and re-attach.
If that does not work.
EOC time.
