Datamax WS6308 print error in .net

I am trying to use Visual Studio with Crystal Reports to print out thermal labels with a Datamax WS6308. I am using the Seagull printer driver.
The problem is that the printer will print the first page and then the program gives an error "Attempt to access invalid address". The page prints but any following pages do not. I have tried printing to a laser printer and this works fine. It is only when printing to the Datamax that the error occurs.

The Datamax even though the default paper size is set to the size of labels I am trying to print, the printer applears to only print the number of labels that will fit on an 8 1/2 X 11 in page and then ignore the rest. If I print the labels (report) to a laser printer, I get everything defined in the dataset.

The printer is printing 4 blank tags when I only ask for 1. It then gives me an error message.

I HAV A DATAMAX I-CLASS PRINTER IT IS SAYING THAT I HAVE A RIBBON FAULT AND THE PRINTER IS THERMAL

Thermal can mean "Direct Thermal" (no ribbon) or "Thermal Transfer" (with ribbon). If you want to print using Direct Thermal labels you need to select Direct Thermal from Media Settings in the Menu accessed from the Control Panel on the front of the printer. Otherwise, the printer sensors will look for a ribbon that is not there, and you will see an error message.

Do you have Zebra emulation firmware installed? If not, your printer will not understand the command language that you are sending to it. Datamax has its own language and you will need a branch in your code to support that if the printer does not work with ZPL.

Datamax M-4206 - error light whenever load or print labels

Perhaps the sensor is out of position, you must move to the left. Also check that the hole senser is not blocked. Also verified that the sensor type (gap or black mark) in the software is correct.
