Changing themes on Windows XP.

So, here we have a simple guide on how to change your normal windows look and how to install a custom theme which you will find many online.

Here is our original windows xp themed start menu and desktop.

First to install a new theme you first have to obtain one, here are a few

After you have downloaded the zip file containing the theme. Double click on the file to open it.

Now, this may look different on your pc, it depends if you have installed a program to extract zip files. If you are familiar with zip files etc just extract the files and run the setup to install the theme.

Inside the zip file you will find the following

Double click on the setup file to install the theme.

you may get a pop-up asking for you to extract all, run or cancel, click on run if you do. if asked again, click run again.

Basically install the theme just by clicking next next next and finally finish.

Once you have installed the theme, right click on your desktop background and select properties.

On the properties / theme page, click open the list of themes and select Royale from the list, then apply and OK.

When you open visualboyadvance its coming ''publisher not verified'' what should i do?

Maybe there is some problem with your visual boy advance. VBA should normally be able to run games nicely even on the default settings. Just uninstall the old one and get the latest one for free in the following link:

http://www.coolrom.com/emulators/gba/14/Visual_Boy_Advance.php

After downloading the zip file, just extract it to any folder and run the emulator.

good luck!!!

Cant' play the game : Rap[ala Pro Fishing (Activision)

A. There is a known fix to the problem that you have experienced and if you follow the instructions below, you will be able to resolve it. What you're going to need to do is find the file called 'Console.cfg'. This is located in your game's install folder (My Computer -> C:\Program Files\ActivisionValue\MagicWand\Rapala\Rapala\Cfg) inside the \Cfg folder. It might be easiest to just do a search from the start menu for 'Console.cfg'. Once you find that file, open it up with notepad or wordpad. You will see a series of lines, the 5th line says: "addvar r_windowed int; r_windowed = 0". You're going to want to change that to: "addvar r_windowed int; r_windowed = 1". Towards the bottom of the file (scroll down) you'll see two lines: "addvar rWaterReflect int; rWaterReflect = 1" and "addvar rWaterRefract int; rWaterRefract = 1" . You're going to want to change those to: "addvar rWaterReflect int; rWaterReflect = 0" and "addvar rWaterRefract int; rWaterRefract = 0". Make sure you save the file and that it asks you to replace it when you save. Then you can start the game. It will not take up the whole screen, but you can fix that by going into the options menu from the main menu and increasing the resolution.

Grand Theft Auto SanAndreas

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas also uses Securom copy protection software.

Please read the below mentioned. The same solution which I had posted for the game Juiced.

The solution is the same for all games using Securom copy protection software.

Securom is a copy protection software that sometimes conflicts with any background applications, multiple disc drives, virtual drives, USB storage devices (Pen drivesand USB Hard drives).

This however can be solved once you submit a analysis file to the Securom Support.

To extract the Analysis file you can follow the below mentioned.

Open Game folder
Locate "GTA_SA.EXE" file and then right-click on it context menu will appear
Select "Launch Analysis" within that menu
After the selection a disclaimer window will appear on your screen, to proceed, click the "YES" button
This 'analysis' will now generate an 'AnalysisLog.sr0' file within the root directory your C: drive.

Go to your "C" drive to locate the "AnalysisLog.sr0" file and zip the file compression utility programs such as WinZip, Winace or Pkzip

-Submit the Zip file to: support@securom.com for evaluation along with "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas " in subject line.

Securom support will then analyze the file for conflicts and send you a new executable file. Once you have the new file, extract and paste the executable file in the root directory of the game.
