indicates the vertical hold system needs adjusting or there is a problem with vertical hold board
there may be a button adjustment on the set
too far one way it goes up , too far the other and it goes down
to me its sound like your on the right track. there isnt a physical vertical hold adjustment. more than likely the vertical hold ic has failed. send me your email addy to [email protected] and i will be more than glad to email you a service manual
Vertical jumping may have a vertical hold issue, horizontal may have a horizontal hold issue. Most older tv sets will have some knobs or adjustable screws for vertical and horizontal hold. Turn your set on and check for these knobs on the back of your set and adjust until your picture is in as well as you can get it
No vertical hold adjustment available. Vertical hold is controlled by a chip in the unit and from what you indicate, it is "out" on the unit. A tech can remedy your problem, "if" you can find out who is like me who took engineering along with being a tech (now retired)
Vertical hold needs adjustment. Check for vertical hold preset and adjust. If no preset present in the P C B of the TV, try through service mode adjustment. Service mode adjustment possible only by the authorized service provider.
Vertical hold will adjust the frequency (refresh) which would remedy it if the picture was rolling. I had to open up my TV (not recommended unless you know what you're doing) and adjust a "pot" which will adjust your screen's hourglass problem. I hope this helps.
Loss of vertical sync or any other problem with your Mits is
likely caused by bad power supply capacitors....they are made by Rubicon and are notorious "leakers"......very tedious and
expensive to fix...................good set back in the day.......T.
Nothing inside to adjust. try re-soldering the vertical output IC and also the flyback connections RCA has had some issues with the flyback solder connections
