Question about Rangemaster Proffessional 110 Gas Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Some rings work, some don't on hob

I have a scholtes gas hob (from mains not bottle) and the rear two rings have almost no pressure and will barely light. One of them is the biggest and meant to be the most powerful. The burner rings seem clean enough. As the front two rings seem to work fine, the gas pressure would not seem to be an issue.

Should I be sticking some sort of pipe cleaner down it after taking rings off or what?

Hello both of you,

my first impression will be dirt in the injectors.
I suppose this top has removable injectors. Normally you can remove them with a 7mm socket

some rings work, some don't on hob - tp021264-1-bxvwimtpanuivq3sgra5z31g-5-0.jpgAs the pressure is really very low in the grid, every single part of dirt in that little hole will block the gasstream.
When I refurbish a cooker, I always clean these thoroughly.

I wish you succes, Dik

I just had this problem, it was due to the button that the lid presses down when its lifted (the safety cut-off release). The button had siezed and the bar that presses it had bent around it so was not pressing it down. Some wd40 and gentle coaxing has it all back working agiain.

I have a belling 335 and both the oven and rear left hob ring have stopped working. what is likely to be the problem?

The thermal fuse inside rear is faulty. The grill also has it's own thermal fuse so make sure you change the correct one.

I have a cata ceramic hob. the child lock has been engaged & is restricting operation of any of the 4 hob's

When you turn on the hobs main power, press the the rear left hand element pad at the same time and the lock will come off.

press the centre minus button and the bottom right plus button at the same time it will work if not keep trying
You have to hold down the centre sensor button with the minus on and the sensor which turns on the bottom right ring immediatley after turning the hob on. It should unlock, then press the minus again
the hob switchs off
when you now switch on there will be no lock

LPG gas hob not working in the cold weather, the tank is full. The supply bottle and pipework start outside and the weather in the UK has been -2 degrees for the last few days.

In weather that cold, the tank pressure is low. Tank pressure will increase if tank is warm. The gas will expand to send pressure to the burners. Make sure the regulstor is working. It could be stuck closed in weather that cold. You did open the gas valve right?

We are getting luke warm water and the low gas alarm is sounding even though we have a full bottle of gas. My gas hob is working fine.

even though you have a full bottle it might not be the right bottle, you have to have a min 2lb for a water heater to work, take and have the bottle checked to make sure it is the right pressure tank
