I have a Canon EOS 630, 35-135 ultrasonic lens and a 300EZ canon flash. I want to get the new Rebel T2i and was wondering if I can use my old flash and lens and have all the TTL and auto focusing features...

Different technology between your film camera and the digital era The flash won't synchronize properly with the new digital you will need an EX type flash the 35-135 will work but because the digital has a focal factor of 1.6 compared to your 35-135 it will become a 56-216mm. Keep your EOS 630 as a back up to the digital.

I have the Canon EOS - older model - and when using with my Canon Zoom Lens 70-300 mm it does not work on auto focus but will with manual focus.

Clean the contacts on the camera body and lens where they meet with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

Error 99 on screen cant take picture intermitant

Error 99 is known as Abnormal Mirror operation. Follow the link for help;EOS-1D Mark III/EOS-1Ds Mark III: AF Accuracy Adjustment
EOS-1D Mark III/EOS-1Ds Mark III: Abnormal Mirror Operation (Err 99)

It should be noted that the AF accuracy adjustment advisory is in addition to the previous EOS-1D Mark III AF mirror adjustment service notice. Free repairs are being offered for customers affected by the "Err 99" mirror problem, and Canon is also providing free AF accuracy checks and adjustments for customers experiencing problems with soft focus when using any but the central AF point.

Finally, Canon Japan has published a new manual entitled "EOS-1D Mark III AI Servo Auto Focus Manual" aimed at helping owners understand and get the most from their AF system.

HI. Every I attempt to take a picture with my cam, I get a "Error 01" message. Please advise. Thank you

Err 01: LENS COMMUNICATION DESCRIPTION: This error occurs in the following conditions: When electronic communication with the lens cannot be established, after the EOS D300D is powered ON or when the shutter button is pressed halfway. When the lens diaphragm cannot be controlled during shutter release.

REMEDIAL MEASURE: Clean the electronic contacts on the lens with a clean, soft, dry cloth and check the mount interface switch on the body's lens mount for dirt or other damage. If this does not solve the problem, try another Canon EF lens or have the EOS EOS D300D examined by a qualified service technician. This error is similar to Error 84 on the D30.

rate me on this one...

thanks!

I want purchase a zoom lens 55-250,70-300,75-300 for my Canon EOS 400D camera what is the price range?

If you are talking about canon only (not sigma/ tamron etc) lenses then there are many different variations of the above lenses ranging from a few hundred to over a thousand UK pounds ( I dont know your currency/country) If you are looking at the budget market then the best value of the 3 mentioned id the 55-250 by canon which has good optical quality and built in IS (Image stabilistaion) and is remarkable value for a CANON branded lens

Other option in the price range would be the 75-300 mk III but it is non IS but does give you a longer reach.

Canon 300 EOS images

This could happen if you're using flash and your shutter speed is set too high. If you're not set to Program or Auto mode, try changing to Program mode and see if that solves your problem.
Otherwise, it sounds like a sensor issue. Call Canon support - I've found them helpful. Check the website for phone number.

I'm looking at buying a Canon EOS 400d and wonder if anyont can confirm whether my lens from old Canon EOS 620 film camera body will be compatible. (Unfortunately lens in storage at moment so I can't...

The canon lens should work fine. Some of the Sigma lenses have to be converted by Sigma to work with digital. The last one I sent to them they only charged me $10 for return shipping. You can find their address online.

Stabilizer

the lens you really need to own with the xt is the ultrasonic series which are the stabilized lenses-these lens run from 500-600 and up-not cheap. If your doing handheld telephoto w/no tripod can really make a difference-more important to spend this extra money on a lens from 75 mm and up as a wide angle or portrait lens really isn't as critical-stock lens on xt is a cheap quality lens-upgrade to a 75-300 image stabilized lens and you'll cover almost all your bases except wide angle which i would get a 10-22-good luck
