Hi, I'm having problem with my canyon cn-mp3so (256MB) mp3 player:When I try to open it using windows explorer a message appears - The request cannot be performed because of an I/O device error. Can You, please help me to solve this problem? I can't find firmware for this player, not even on the official site?!?! Best regards,Obrenovic Ivan
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I had the same problem and solved it with this: On the Samsung support page, there´s a knowledge base called "YP-T6 Or YP-MT6 Show No File And Zero Free Memory" you need to download the latest firmare from the downloads section, then with the uptader on the PC, remove the battery from the YP-T5 or 6 and connect the USB cable to a PC while pressing and holding the play button on the YP-T. It should connect in a recovery mode which allows you to update the firmware, format the flash drive and get going again !

well done XP! device repaired :)
I'm so happy I didn't sell my travel notebook,
good enough for running XP slowly... very slowly.
I will left more space now than last time. Why I didn't
thought that some kilobytes aren't enough for operating.

Tips for a great answer:
The FORMAT ERROR message may occur if the Walkman player has been formatted using the format utility in Windows Explorer. To correct this issue, initialize (format) the portable player using the Initialize or Format utility built into your Walkman player.
Home button-->Menu-->Advanced Menu-->Initialize-->Format-->OK.
Reset the unit by pressing the RESET button with a small object such as a paper clip. Reset button is located near the volume buttons.
This should resolve the issue.
Thanks for using FixYa
