Could you please tell me if i have an agp or pci express card in my computer?
If you look at a pci-express slot you can see a border where the card connects. The border is at about 15-20% from left of the slot and separates it to two. A small dimm and a large dimm.
AGP has two borders wich separates the slot to 3 parts and those are almost(!) equals to each other...
That's the difference if you just look at it...
Pci express is much better tahn agp. PCI Express (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), officially abbreviated as PCI-E or PCIe, is a computer expansion card standard introduced by Intel in 2004, and currently is the most recent and high-performance standard for expansion cards that is generally available on modern personal computers.[citation needed] PCIe was designed to replace PCI, PCI-X, and AGP. Unlike previous PC expansion standards, rather than being a shared parallel bus, it is structured around point-to-point serial links called lanes.
