How do I reset the replace lamp message

The replace lamp message and red light appear on my TV so I got a replacement lamp and put it in but the message and red light remain - how do I reset them? One note of interest I couldn't figure out how to remove the old power cords from the lamp so I didn't replace them with the new ones that came with the lamp - I still have them though.

have replaced lamp but orange light will not go out. was advised by zenith only a repair person could use a special remote to reset clock. was also told that the tv would stop working in approximately 60 - to 90 days if clock was not reset.

can the clock be reset without having to call in a repair person.

On some tvs you can access the timer by pressing the ENTER button ans the MUTE button together. You can see the accumulated hours and select ZERO to reset. This has worked on LG units

Do you have a picture? If so the only way to reset this unit is to get a Zenith programmer remote. With this remote you can get into the service menu and reset the lamp timer and that will reset the unit.

Trying to replace lamp in HDTV and having trouble. Does not function correctly after putting in new bulb. Boots up and then visuals go black and the green power light keeps flashing. Help?

Panasonic DLP TV Bulbs

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

TY-LA1001 Timer reset

While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the number 0 button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.

Replaced main bulb in front but lamp button on front of tv is still blinking and tv won't show picture

The lamp timer on the Hitachi projector must be reset whenever the lamp has been replaced. The "Lamp" indicator on the display will light red or the "Change the Lamp" message will display when the lamp timer needs to be reset. Hitachi recommends that the lamp timer never be reset without replacing the lamp and to always reset the timer when the lamp is replaced. The message functions of the projector will not function properly if the lamp timer is not correctly reset.

  • Turn the power on. Press the "Reset" button for three seconds until the "Lamp xxxx hr" message appears on the lamp timer on the bottom of the screen.

  • 2

Press the "Menu" button on the remote control while the lamp timer is displayed.

  • 3

Press the left arrow button. Select "0" and wait until the timer display clears.
