Connect the hard disk to your computer using the USB cable. After that you can see the hard disk detected icon on you My Computer. Then go the folder which contains the pictures . Right click the folder and copy the pictures . Then come to My Computer , double click the hard disk icon and you can past the folder there and thus the pictures are moved/copied to the harddisk
It is possible that your USB flash drive is dead. The other solution is to try it on some other USB port of your PC (if you used front panel USB ports now try it on the back panel). If it also wont work, try to connect it to some other PC If it works with an other PC, your USB ports are dead You can try going to device manager, and to unintall USBs and reinstalling them
1st try to check your usb cable. make it is working and in good condition. 2nd check your computer for viruses. try to scan it and clean it THROUGHLY and iff this still doesn't work. try reformating ur pc.. or before doing this all try your external to a different computer.. i hope this helps you.
I have come across an issue where my USB discs were completely erased "by no reason". I would use it with one client just fine, but when I went to the next, nothing came up. I had to format the drive again and it worked once more. This has happened to me about three times in four years. But it does happen.
On your disc, can it be read on some other PC?
If it can, then the issue is with the port on your laptop, try a different port. If it can't the it may be the USB drive that went the way of the concorde... out of service after years of functionality. ;-)
Have a blessed day, report what happens.
it does sound like the Hard drive enclosures circuit board may be the problem, there are ways to get the data off that will void your warranty, or there are services you can send it to who will get your data back for you and then replace it.
Let me know what your preference is and I can assist you either way.
right click on your folder which contains your photo's, or you right click on a single photo in your folder. Then select "copy". then locate your usb on your "my computer" folder. left click on this icon. Then select paste with your left mouse button.
