Question about Printers & Copiers
We have a Sharp MX-2700N. We have error message H5-01. What does the error message mean and how do I fix it?
H5-01 = detecting 5 consecutive POD_1N jams
Check the fusing section for jam paper. (winding, etc.)
Use SIM14 to
cancel the trouble.
Entering the simulation mode
1) Copy mode key ON → Program key ON → Asterisk (*) key
ON → CLEAR key ON → Asterisk (*) key ON → Ready for
input of a main code of simulation
accpet yes clear..
machine should restart.
To fix this you need to have the fusing unit looked at... could be various problems causing this , from bad paper to bad rollers?

As mentioned you need to check the fuser - you may have to pull it out of the machine - assuming that the harness and sensor have not been damaged - you might have a small chunk of paper that tore off and got lodged in the fuser - or what used to be my favorite, an accordion fold where the one of more sheets of paper gets folded into a small space where it is not tripping a sensor and doesn't bind the fuser from turning but stops every sheet of paper that hits it. Odd things can happen if someone jammed a clear transparency in the system as well - especially when they are not made for laser printers or when accidentally run on duplex mode.
