Thank you for your answer but, the thing is... I already know that. What I was looking for is this is a common problem...or it is a mainboard change...or bad power supply...or a certain needed component of a particular board. Thank you for your response, though.

when we turn on the tv or hit the reset the timer light blinks on and off then the tv just shuts itself down. when we start the tv we hear a crackling noise like the speaker is broken then we hear static then we hear the crackle again and the tv shuts down.

I am having the same problem. The crackling noise is coming from the vent just to the right of the bulb panel. You can actually see the short occurring. It will power on, you hear the fan, then the crackling noise (which you can see if you look at that vent while powering on) then the fan slows down and it powers off. There is a short, but to what is shorting...I have no answer.

The green LED is blinking because there is fault in the TV you will have to take to a technician to determine the cause.

The trouble is that many different stages in the TV will give the same fault indication, first thing I would try is the lineoutput transistor for a possibly collector short to chassis.

Mitsubishi 73 inch. green light blinks for a few seconds then the status light stays on. can hear a clicking noise when the green light is blinking. Replaced the lamp and that does not fix anything.

Mits has had an excessive number of problems with color wheels in some of their optical engines. Provided you replaced the lamp with OEM parts I would suspect the color wheel is causing the noise as well as the shutdown issues.

Wd-65733 Mitsubishi Tv green blinking light and TV will not come on

You need a new projector bulb. Google up your model and buy the best warranteed one you cAN FIND. Buy a "caged assembly" and not just a bare bulb.

Then unplug your tv and get a screwdriver. Follow your model's instructions and just snug down the electrical screws. Do not overtighten them.

Then consult your manual on how to reset the lamp timer so it knows you put a new bulb in and fires up from the first try.

Treat yourself because you've just saved yourself a trip from a repairman!

Blinking green light under 'Timer' flashes there is no picture

If you have a green blinking LED that runs continuosly, its the widespread problem of failures of capacitors on several circuit boards in the TV. Currently Mits is having authorized service centers remove the chassis and send it them for rebuilding. Its an expensive and time consuming repair.
