You need to DeFrag your computer, and remove un-necessary information from your hard drive, Put it on an external drive or stick.. the computer will run as fast as day 1. ( like going up a hill with a LOADED truck)
I would upgrade your ram to at least 1GB of ram or more, "the higher the better" ram memory will make the computer considerabily faster. Plus a Video Graphics Card with one 1GB of ram will free up resources in your computer and increase performance.
OK if you have a lot of files and application in your pc it is not impossible for your pc to become slower the only thing you have to do is remove unwanted and unnecessary files and application in your pc but if you have a portable hard disk and you still want to keep those file just copy them to your portable hard disk. On the other hand if your PC doesn't have a lot of files and application in it perhaps your computer needs an upgrade either Harddisk drive or memory in order for your pc to function faster..Hope it will help you.
You just need to increase the RAM to make it faster.
Or here are few steps you could perform.
Right click on My computer >> properties >> click on Advance tab >> Under performance click on settings >> Click on Advance >> Undre Virtual Memory click on change >> Increase the Maximum size then the initial size, initial size should be less than maximum size.
Click on set >> ok >> ok and restart the computer.
First of all, this question is a little confusing - the higher the amount of RAM, the faster your computer will run.
If you want to take RAM out of your computer, it may run slower. It looks like a green slab of plastic and metal, you can see it by doing a Google Image search for Random Access Memory or RAM.
Here is the Wikipedia article explaining what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAM
Basically, you can turn your computer off, unplug it, and pull one of the sticks of RAM out. That will either make the computer run slower or not at all - and it will probably void your warranty, so think before you act.
There's a good instructional video here: http://www.ehow.com/video_4445703_remove-ram-upgrade-motherboard.html that tells how to upgrade your RAM.
try upgrading the ram the higher the ram the faster your computer will run,you can also upgrade the CPU to make it run faster but your best bet would be to upgrade your ram, also scan your computer for viruses this may also be part of the issue
