Your Problem is my problem....Did you find the right Setting?
I cannot find an adjustment to make round objects on my Acer AL1917W monitor look round. It's a simple request, but I have been looking at egg-shaped round items and stretched (horizontally) pictures for a month. Buttons on front of monitor are no help, and driver software offers no adjustments.

The CMOS battery is the small silver round battery on the motherboard. Be warned though, this will reset all of the time, date, and optimized settings in the BIOS. You will most likely need to reset all of that information.

I'm assuming you mean you get no picture on the external monitor.
Most laptops have a blue "function" key. some of the other keys have additional functions when this blue key is pressed as well; one of them is to change the display usage. Usually, this can be: * Internal only * external only * internal & external showing same picture * internal & external as extended desktop Repeated pressing of the relevant key will cycle round the available display modes. Once you find the one you want, you may have to adjust Windows display options - right click on the desktop and click "properties" then go to the Settings tab.
