Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop
Basically the computer rebooted itself and when came back on it showed me the ACER logo with 2 options:
- Del to setup
- F12 to go to boot menu
When I press these two nothing happens. So I took out the hard drive it is fully functioning when i put it onto another motherboard. The problem seem to be booting.
- I tried to remove the bios battery and put it back on nothing happened.
- I have removed the jumper and switched them and then switched them back on as if trying to remove the bios battery nothing happned.
- I have stripped down the motherboard to only CD room, 1 RAM and turned it on no difference.
Please help... how do i reset the bois? how do i get it to forget its origional bios setting or delete it all together? or any other solution comes to your mind because i am all out of ideas.
Is your keyboard good?

You can attempt to remove the bios chip and reinstall it or replace it with another. They are available. Do a google search. It has been my experience that if one cannot get into the bios that the Mother board is shot and I then replace it, not gambling on replacing the bios chip.
