Question about LG DLE2532W Electric Dryer

Dryer won't heat

I have the LG DLG0332W dryer. It won't heat up at all. I have looked but can't find the reset button to see if that is the problem. I have reset the breaker, but that didn't work. I have gas to the dryer, so that isn't the problem either. Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated.

Hello thecrow124,
Your problem could be one of a few things... you may have a thermal cut off switch that has opened and needs to be replaced. Once they open ( like a fuse) they are non-resettable and will need to be changed. That would disable the flow of gas to the burner and not allow your dryer to heat up. You may also have a bad igniter so don't rule that out. If you are inclined to diagnose this yourself, please do so with power and gas disabled and use caution when working inside the dryer. I am attaching a link for the service manual to aid in trouble-shooting your system Please notice the component testing section from Page 10 and up. That should provide sufficient information to diagnose a bad device and get you started.

Quick experiment: Unplug the dryer, pop the top, remove the two top screws holding the front cover in place. Open the door and remove the lowest two stainless steel screws. Front should now be able to be tilted forward and removed. Unplug the door switch (pull hard). Set the front panel aside. In the lower right corner, you will see the gas valve. Further inside, you can see a rectangular thermostat on the side of the combustion tube. Below that on the combustion tube there is a thermal limit with a mechanical reset button. Press the reset. If it gives a solid click, you're probably good to go. You cannot validate normal operation with the front panel off; it needs the sealed air circulation path to make the flame work properly. You can, however, verify that it will at least ignite. Plug it in, reconnect the door switch, start a cycle with heat, see if your glow plug starts, and after that it should ignite and stay lit for 5-10 secs; after that it will probably turn off. Reassemble the dryer, you're good to go. If ignition only stays one for a few seconds after reassembly, you have blockage in your exhaust path. (While the front is off, do yourself a favor and vacuum out all the lint you can.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who posted anywhere about the little reset button on the side of the heat tube (on the lower left of the tube between the two wire connectors). I was losing hope about an economical repair and was about to tear the whole dryer to pieces to try and trace the problem. But this board and a tiny click from that button fixed the problem. My model is DLG3788W.

It seems to me that there is a problem with your valve assembly . I would check the connectors to the valves there should be 2 coils in there those do funny things when thy are defective.

I have a DLG0332W everything was having some problems with the drum not spinning went in and clean everything and now it stoped heating just cold air

Hello,
seems to me you may have inadvertently disconnected the heater coils or you may have damaged the coil. Open the machine again, and check all the connections before you buy anything else for it. It could be that simple.

Our LG Dryer DLG0332W is about 5 years old and now I have to manually turn the barrel around to get the dryer to start; otherwise when you hit the start button it just buzzes and doesn't start. What do...

the dryer has Defective Drum Glides/Rollers.
The dryer drum rests and spins on a set of rollers and/or drum glides. The glides and rollers provide low friction contact points that allow the drum to turn easily. When the glides and rollers become worn they can cause the drum to drag. The dryer might only spin without a load or only when assisted.
Hope this helps.

Everything seams to work but the heat will not come on the igniter will not come on gas will not come on . HELP this is a LG DLG0332w model

The ignitor may have failed, and you will need a multimeter to test it. If you do not have a multimeter, you can replace the ignitor in the chance that it is bad

Lg Gas dryer Dlg0332w drum making noise

The drum on my DLG0332W was also making noise at the back of the dryer...kind of a thump thump thump as the drum rotated. My dryer is only 4 years old. I got brave, downloaded the service manual and opened up the dryer. I found that the drum's welded seam was starting to separate where the roller wheels were coming into contact with the drum at the back of the dryer. Looks like a new drum is in order.

Not properly drying

If you remove the front cover hitting the reset switch is rather easy. However I did that the other day and only got 1 load done before it tripped again.

I just picked this dryer up used from a buddy the other day and am already having trouble. Also... It runs very loud. How loud is yours complared to the washer?
