If you String Trimmer wont crank, take out the plug and then try to pull the cord. If you can get the motor to spin freely after the plug is out, then you have one of two issue. Either deposit on the cylinder which is allowing to much compression to build up, Simple fix (buy some Seafoam from your local auto parts store. Remove the exaust and pour some seafoam into the cylinder. Let it sit over night and then clean with 2 cycle fuel, either blow out with an air compressor or let it air dry. Then put the plug, and exhaust back together and that should help. If that doesnt work then you need to see if your carb is leaking into the cylinder, causing hydo-lock, your only option is to rebuild the carb, or buy a new carb.)

My weed eater (toro), won't let me pull the cord at all. This weed eater doesn't take oil I don't think.

All internal combustion engines use oil of some description. I take it this is a 2 cycle engine and you have not added oil to the gas. If this is the case the engine is locked up, and must be replaced. Sorry.

Use a hooked piece of wire to snag the filter through the fuel tank, it should pull off the fuel line.

I have a WEED Eater Model SST 45. I left the switch on all winter and now it won't start. What is wrong?

If it is a pull start, leaving the switch on did no damage to the weed eater.

When pulling the string to start the weed eater it feels as it's locked and won't pull out more than an inch I have set it to full choke half choke also primed it nothing works how do I get it...

If this is a 2 cycle engine , which most weed eaters are, then it sounds like probably the piston is locked up inside the cylinder. Try taking the spark plug out. if it still will not pull out then take the recoil cover off. There should only be 4 screws holding it on. Once you get that off see if the string pulls out of recoil if it does then check to see if you can turn the crank on the engine. If the recoil string does not pull over then that needs to be repaired or replaced. If the crank on the engine will not turn over by hand then your engine is siezed. If you take the covers off to expose the exhaust there are 2 bolts that hold it on take those out and look inside. If you see vertical scoring on piston then your machine isnot worth fixing
