Question about Frigidaire GLTF2940ES Front Load Washer
We have a Frigidaire Gallery Series front load washer that is less than 3 years old. It won't spin, but it will fill at the start of the cycle, then shut off. Then when it is switched to "Drain/spin" it will start to drain, but won't finish the cycle and it never starts spinning. The belt is good. We took the motor off and tested it to see if the motor will go to ground and it doesn't. What can we do to fix this problem?
I replaced the speed control module and all is fine now. The part number is 131770700 which has since been updated by 134149220.

Solution: take off the back off the door on the back of the washer. Look underneath where the drain hose attaches to the pump. Squeze the clamp to loosen it and pull the drain hose off of the pump. Feel inside the opening of the pump side and there is a flap which is there to prevent backflow that gets stuck in the wrong position. Tear the flap off as it is what is causing the problem. Put the hose back on and enjoy your washer working again.

ck to see that a control lock light is not illuminated, as far as fisher and paykel pressure swithc is part of motor controller under main console. removing screws behind console allows you access and from ther i would remove clear plastic tubing from right side of control and blow down the line (sometimes detergent will block other end not allowing proper readings)

the drain pump is not working, after wash cycle the washer should drain the used water,if it does not function-all the next cycle will not commence.
