If your mail account is configured on both systems as an IMAP account since the mail is on the server, both devices would see the same mail.
That doesn't apply to your Outlook Contacts or presumably apple Contacts

Can't get outlook express to set up hotmail account or even connect to server

Download Microsoft Outlook Connector and Run.

Once setup is finished set your Incomming mail server as pop3.live.com and outgoing server as smtp.live.com, save the setting.

Thanks for joining Fixya.
Good Luck

All old emails 11000 of them keep being loaded. unable to recieve new email.Connection to server ok.

I am assuming you are using Outlook Express or Office Outlook.
If you are trying to setup an account on a new pc or on a different computer will automatically load your mail from off of the server your mail account is on, there is no real getting around that. there is a way to save your self the trouble though. You can back up your current account on the previous PC and import that back up file to the new pc with your Outlook you are trying to setup and it should reconcile with your server and should stop the upload of 11000 messages. Please let me know if this fixed your problem or if you need further instruction on how to do this process.

Outlook 2007 will not start. Get Message: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. And a big red X Hoping ican get some help on this. is there any way of reinstalling outlook...

Good news and bad news....

The good news is the problem can be fixed...

The bad news is you have to recreate your profile for Outlook, which means anything that is not still on the server is lost. If you are working with an Exchange server, this will not be an issue. You will just have to remap your PST files, if applicable.

Navigate to c:\documents and settings\%username%\application data\microsoft and look for the folder called outlook. Rename the folder to outlook.000. Now, navigate to c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\microsoft and find the outlook folder in there. Do the same, rename the folder to outlook.000.

NOTE: If you are on a domain, the "Application Data" and "Local Settings" folders may be located on the user's home drive (the network drive under my computer)

As soon as both the folders are renamed, restart Outlook. You will have to re-create a profile. If you are using Exchange, contact your system administrator for the specifics of the profile setup. If you are using a POP3, IMAP, HTTP, or other server, check with your email service provider for the specifics on the profile setup. Once the new profile is complete, you will be able to access outlook again.

I am using a web portal to access my outlook emails and do not go into the office. I need to archive my email from the web portal can this be done

One solid solution is to setup your Email account on Outlook or Outlook Express and then use that to download your email / post office locally. From there you can back up this post office to an external hard drive or CDR (depending on the size of the files) and create a restorable archive of your email. Please contact your email administrator and inform them you need your Account / Email Server settings and that your going to use outlook to download your email.

Tip: - Before you Send/Receive email with your Outlook or Outlook Express - Change your Advanced Email Account settings to LEAVE EMAIL ON SERVER, this way the web portal will still contain a current copy of email and match what is downloaded in the outlook email client. To access this feature you can contact me via email at solidlava@hotmail.com and I can walk you through it.

When you try to start a Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2003 program, you may receive the following error message or an error message that is similar to the following:

Error 25090. Office Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine, system error: -2147023836. Please open SETUP.CHM and look for "Office Source Engine" for information on how to resolve this problem.

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

* Two people installed Office on the same computer.
* Both installations were completed by using the AllUsers="" parameter to set the installation for the installing user account only.
* When both people were prompted to remove files that were copied locally at the end of Setup, both people did not remove the files.
* One of the two people removed Office.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, start the Setup program for Office. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Insert the Microsoft Office 2003 CD in your CD drive or DVD drive.
2. If the Setup program does not start automatically, locate the Setup.exe file on the CD, and then double-click the file to start Setup.
3. After the Setup window appears, cancel Setup, and then respond to the prompts to exit Setup.

Note: You do not have to complete the Setup program. Setup fixes the error condition when it is first invoked.

Goole Mail configured through Outlook 2003

Go back into your email accounts setup and follow step by step.

under the internet email settings your server info for incoming should be pop.gmail.com and outgoing should be stmp.gmail.com

click on the more settings button

click on the outgoing server tab on the new windown

be sure the my outgoing server requires authentication box is checked and the radio button that says use same settings as incoming is selected.

click the advanced tab

check the box under incoming server that says this server requires an encrypted connection and enter 995 in the value

check the box under out going server that says this server requires an encrypted connection and enter 465 in the value

Your account should work fine with this setting
