Hey Karen, Water in the bottom of the dishwasher results from clogs in the filter or in the drain hose. Before you do any work on your dishwasher, make sure that it's switched off at the mains. If cleaning your filter hasn't resolved the issue, then the next thing that could be preventing your dishwasher from draining is a blocked drain hose. Is your dishwasher displaying an error code? If you see the E25 error code on a Bosch dishwasher, that means the filter is blocked or clogged, and water cannot drain out of the machine correctly. the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub

There is a float under the machine that tells the pump to shut off. If the float is stuck or bad, the machine will keep draining. I am including a web site that might help. Bosch Dishwasher That Will Not Stop Draining Hunker

Remove the drain hose where it attaches to the disposal. This area often clogs and will prevent any d/w from draining.

This is generally because of a stuck diverter solenoid. The water goes to the pump and then is either sent to the wash arms or the drain. Also, check the drain.

Don't. Just attach your hose and the end of the Bosch hose together. Just wind up the Bosch hose and tape it to the back of the machine.
