Everything works fine on the dryer - the timer, the tumble action - but it only blows cold air whether it's set to "hot", "warm" or "cold".

In most cases, a failure to heat is caused by a blown thermal fuse or high limit thermostat. Usually it is the fuse, but the fuse may be blown due to a defective
thermostat. To find the location on yourspecific machine (and purchase
the parts) try www.appliancepartspros.com To test the fuse, WITH THE
MACHINEUNPLUGGED, put an ohmmeter or continuity tester across the fuse
with it's wires unhooked. It should have continuity. If it is open,
replace it. If the thermal fuse blows, it is fairly common to find the
dryer vent partially blocked as well. Make sure it is clear. Thermal
fuses are fairly cheap, but you don't want to have to replace it every
other week.

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail(meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) thatmight need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can tripout or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehaveprograms that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcodeshowing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also bethe fault.
