TV Question??? Samsung HLN4365W

Sorry to bother you... but I have been searching for a solution for quite sometime and I have never found an answer. I saw one of your post and thought maybe you could help me out. I have a Samsung HLN4365W and sine about August I have been having a problem with the picture displaying. Sometimes the picture come on when I turn on the TV but 75% time it won't...IF i get the TV to come on (displaying a picture) and I shut the TV back down 99% time I cant get the picture to come back on. When the TV does not display the picture I dont get sound either... the "lamp" light keeps blinking and the TV will restart itself after about 5 minutes, but the "lamp" light just keeps blinking (sometimes all 3 will blink). If the front light(s) are blinking he only way to shut the TV down is by unplugging it. I have replaced the color wheel and I just replaced the Lamp, but I'm still having the problem. You posted something about a "Vertical Output IC" on someone elses problem... do I have the same problem? If that is the problem can you direct me to the right direction where to buy this piece so I can replace it...or if you have any solution it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks again,
Chad S.

I'm not sure if it would be something loose seeming I dont move the TV around at all. I just have to unplugg it sometimes when the system wont startup properly...but i still dont need to move the tv to do that. This morning the TV turned on fine...go figure... As far as the "training manual" is it a .pdf file or can you point me in the direction of where to find it? Let me know, I appreciate all your help!

Its either the wire connection CN108 on the DMD is loose or the DMD or power supply is defective. I ten d to believe its the connection since it works sporadically. If replugging the connector doesnt solve the problem you may need to do a step by step diagnostics. Do you have the training manual for the samsung DLPs its actually a very easy process to diagnose with the training manual.

Sound quit on Samsung rear projection TV

We solved the problem by purchasing a surround sound system and hooked it up to the Cable box thus bypassing the TV speakers. It was a cheaper fix than having a TV repair service guy come out and we have even better sound! Thanks anyway!

How to replace samsung hln4365w lamp

It is fairly simple to do. Just remember to turn OFF the tv, and DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP ITSELF. Here is an online manual that has the instructions on page 10 of the manual. Just copy and paste this into your browser navigation bar.

Hdtv but has no inlet for the cord.

Hi..
That set has 2 DVI connectors in the back. Either one will work if you have a cable that matches.
The manual is available online too

Picture loses color on samsung HLN4365W

if the picture is still visible but lacking color, it is not the lamp. check the color wheel and make sure it is working. replacing the color wheel is a pretty easy task and can be performed by yourself without many problems. as a sidenote, older samsung dlp tvs seem to experience this problem quite often, although they usually sound like someone strangling a cat before the bearings go out..

partstore.com should carry your replacement for 100 USD or so, the part number is BP96-00250A.

before replacing it, make sure your old one isn't just stuck or not spinning at full rpm, if this is the case, you can usually remove it and clean the motor using electronic or contact cleaner that is safe for plastics.

to check everything out, you will need to remove the back panel of your tv, then power it up (keep kids, small animals, hands and such away from the back while powered up), take a look in front of the projection lamp and see if the wheel is turning. if not, a very good writeup is available here, this is the writeup i send my own customers to if they feel like attempting the repair themselves.

replacing the color wheel is actually not very hard at all, if you have ever worked on your own desktop pc (installed a new drive or upgraded it yourself) then you should be able to do this with limited difficulty.

hope this helps,
trin

No picture, new lamp

Did you reset the hours on the lamp with the menu options on your set? Sometimes, if you do not do that it can mess with the tv performance thinking that its over hours. It needs to be reset to 0 again...
