search for the latest version 4.86
download it and save it in a folder

change Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.exe TO Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.ZIP
now, unzip Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.ZIP to see the files.

you may need to drag & drop these files by hand onto the Magellen hard drive.
To see the files on your Magellan, plug it into your computer with a USB, and open the folder.

Lastly, try to run the update; double click on Setup.exe in folder
Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1
to see if it will then do all file updates for you, in case you missed any.

I followed your directions above, and changed .exe to .zip: Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.exe TO Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1.ZIP.

Then, I was able to unzip the files to see them. Then, I manually dragged all the exe files and all the dll files (i didn't bother with .bmp, .xml, or sound files). I had trouble with the file IVTDialorStrResChs.dll, and had to re-do this file and some others because I got a "file corrupt, can't copy" message. The second time, I got these to copy over.

After all this, I re-booted the Magellan. Then, I pluged it back into the computer using the USB so I could see the files again.

NOW, I ran Setup.exe by double clicking on this file in the open folder on my desktop (this is one of the files I unzipped under folder Magellan_Maestro_4250_4_86_Rel1).
It ran! I didn't need to be on the maps screen on the Magellan. Somehow, the file copies I did helped. This fixed the problem, I could see my home screen again Yeah!

The customer service guy at Magellen told me to download the lateset update, and to do it manually, if I could. At first, he tried to get me to spend $200 on a new Magellan!!

Step 1

Create a dir were the server will be installed example C:\HLDS
Open hldsupdatetool.exe, click next , then I agree we will get to the destination folder, here

we press browse and select Local Disk C , then double click the HLDS folder. OK finish the

click Start , then Run , type "cmd" , in the command line type cd C:\hlds

if you se in the command line C:\hlds , type hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game valve

-dir .

what this does ? it just start downloading in to the server directory all the latest files

needed by the server to run it will download the latest server aplication.
After you se "HLDS installation up to date" in the command prompt we will install the Counter

Strike mod for the server

Installing Admin Mod

We have downloaded earlyer halflife-admin-2.50.60-win.zip wich we will extract it anywere and

double click on install_admin.vbs after wich it will ask us where to install. You will se

diferent targets , we are interested in C:\HLDS so we type the number of the target, it will

ask us what mod to install we are interesated in cstrike. OK and that's about it.

Installing StatsMe

we downloaded statsme-2.8.3-cstrike.zip extract everything in C:\HLDS\cstrike
Go to C:\HLDS\cstrike\addons\metamod open plugins.ini with wordpad and here add the next line

on top of the existing one :

How to start the server using less resources

make a shorcut for C:\HLDS\hlds.exe on the desktop
on the desktop click the properties of the shortcut you will se at the target C:\HLDS\hlds.exe
we will just add this line ( note ! leav a space between C:\HLDS\hlds.exe and the code)

This is the basic Dedicated Server with Admin Mod and StatME

go to your MY DOCUMENTS folder on your desktop, there should be a folder named Lime wire, there are sub-folders too. double click on the SAVED files folder to see all you have downloaded.

A. There is a known fix to the problem that you have experienced and if you follow the instructions below, you will be able to resolve it. What you're going to need to do is find the file called 'Console.cfg'. This is located in your game's install folder (My Computer -> C:\Program Files\ActivisionValue\MagicWand\Rapala\Rapala\Cfg) inside the \Cfg folder. It might be easiest to just do a search from the start menu for 'Console.cfg'. Once you find that file, open it up with notepad or wordpad. You will see a series of lines, the 5th line says: "addvar r_windowed int; r_windowed = 0". You're going to want to change that to: "addvar r_windowed int; r_windowed = 1". Towards the bottom of the file (scroll down) you'll see two lines: "addvar rWaterReflect int; rWaterReflect = 1" and "addvar rWaterRefract int; rWaterRefract = 1" . You're going to want to change those to: "addvar rWaterReflect int; rWaterReflect = 0" and "addvar rWaterRefract int; rWaterRefract = 0". Make sure you save the file and that it asks you to replace it when you save. Then you can start the game. It will not take up the whole screen, but you can fix that by going into the options menu from the main menu and increasing the resolution.

You will not need to download anything to Transfer Mp3s from Limewire to this Player. The songs you downloaded from Limewire should be in a folder somewhere. When you set up Limewire you created this folder or used the default folder they provided. Just connect your Mp3 player to your computer. Your computer should recognize it as a drive and Appear in "My Computer". Double click on the Mp3 player icon in My Computer. This will open up the player. Then with the player and the Limewire folder open just drag the Mp3s onto your Player. You can also use this little player as a USB storage device to store other files. Cut or copy the driver zip file and go up a few levels and paste it on the desktop or in a folder on the desktop or in a folder in my docs and unzip ALL the files to this new folder and run setup. I had same problem. For some reason if you save the file 3-4 or more folder inside a folder inside a folder ect (you know...try to be organized?) it won't run. Whats more if you were to just move the SETUP.exe file and not the other folders (such as DATA) the install would start asking you for files that ARE in the data folder, asking you to point to them. If you did it would act like it couldn't see them...Why? I have no idea....all I know is once i moved EVERYTHING (all the files from the zip)up to the Desktop or a level below it like My docs, C drive etc it ran immediately and saw all files. You can run that SETUP and/or use add printer from control panel > printers and faxes

Find where you downloaded it to on your machine. Use Start/Search if you don't remember.

If it's a zip file, right click to extract it to a folder. Then look in that folder for setup.exe

If it's an exe file, double clicking on it should either start the install, or extract it to another folder, where the setup.exe program should be found.

Perhaps the source is bad, try sending Ur self the type of folder U are having trouble with and see what happens.
