There shouldn't be anything too special about that thermostat.  it's just 1 heat, and 1 cool.  our digital ones are only $60 or so.

Why would my goodman gas furnace leak water from the panel that the blower motor is attached to?

the only reason water would come out of your furnace is if you also have your AC in the same system, and the condensation line is not allowing the water to drain properly.

If the water only happens during cooling, clear the condensation line. If it is happening during a heating cycle you may have an improperly connected thermostat, a bad control board, etc...

One of the best features of this thermostat is it’s big clear backlit display. The current temperature, the set temperature and the time of day are displayed at all times. Simply touching the screen also activates the back light feature.

This thermostat has a menu programming guide the helps you through the process of setting up your schedule. The thermostat after a period of time learns the characterizes of the way the house or building heats and cools and then adjusts to get the most efficient operation of the heating or cooling system while maintaining a very close temperature tolerance.

By changing a few of the parameters in the thermostat this can be can be configured for either single stage conventional heat/cool systems or any single stage heat pump system.

Hello, it sounds like your condensate line is clogged and not be able to drain into the condensate pump or your condensate pan is cracked and leaking. Best thing to do is clean the condensate line with a shop vac and see if the water will start to drain, if not looks like the pan is cracked.

New heaters need to do a start up or testing for proper operation model f2f5103n TPI corp. Industrial type heater

When you are ready to test run the unit you should take an amperage draw reading on the elements.
The formula to see if the elements are drawing the correct amps is: (voltage x amps=watts) example: If a heating element is 1500 watts and your voltage is 120 volts, then your amps will be 12.5 amps. (120v x 12.5A=1500W)
The easiest way to check amp draw is with a clamp on amp meter.

Installing a stat to a furnance

You need a 7 conductor minimum, 8 will suffice.

Depending on what type of thermostat you are using, hard wired or battery will make a difference, some model thermostats have a "C" on the terminal strip regardless of the power being supplied to the thermostat. If your Thermostat does NOT have a "C", and the furnace does not require a common, then disregard that terminal.
The Terminal strip on the thermostat and the terminal board on the furnace should be close to this, and let’s assume you have 2 stages of cooling as well. This is a general rule of thumb for the wiring and their correct place.

R - 24VAC
W - Heat
G- Fan
Y - Cooling
W1- Stage 2 Heat
Y1 - Stage 2 Cooling
C - Common
