Question about Sansui VRDVD4005 DVD Player/VCR

1 Answer

Won't turn on

I put a DVD into the player, on the screen it said "Reading" for quite awhile. Then it said "Incorrect disc". I pressed the eject button, but nothing happened, kept trying to no avail - shut the player off and attempted to turn it back on. Now it won't turn on. What should I do?

Re: Won't turn on

The DVD may have jumped out of the tray, and the machanism can't work as the disc is in the way. Try unplugging nd removing the lid, take the disc out by hand and then reassemble and try.

LG v181 won't eject - it tries to load even when there is no disc and won't slide out the tray at all.

It's likely a belt that drives the tray has snapped or come off! If you take the top off you might well see it!

Try this. This works on some brands and models.

Power up the unit. Using the remote, press and hold the 'STOP' button for about 5 seconds. Release and press the 'OK' button.

Repairing disc message won't go & DVD disc won't eject

By pressing the Power button for >10 seconds you can force the unit to turn off. Immediately as the unit does, press the disk eject button and the defective DVD can be removed. Don't put it back in, or the problem may repeat!
