Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Blank display screen

My Dell 922 printer has a blank display screen. The power light is on and cannot be turned off. Nothing will print. Can you help?

Hi martalyn,

I sorry to inform you that the situation you describe is an indicator of an internal power problem with the printer. This is not something a consumer can fix on his or her own. If your printer is under warranty, contact Dell - they will most likely replace it. If not, I'm afraid you'll have to buy a new printer (since the cost of fixing a printer far exceeds the cost of simply buying a new one).

I wish I could offer you better news - please let me know if your printer's symptoms change, or if I can be of any further assistance.

My Dell All-In-One printer is not printing at all and the paper comes out blank. I need help.


Ensure that the printer power cable is firmly connected to the printer and the electrical outlet
Determine if the printer has been held or paused

Printer not working


check the printer for a menu button then check for a reset button that may solve the problem. Please make sure to give me a good rating for helping I do not get paid

Power button light is permanently on but printer is not working


Remove printer cable from pc. Remove power cord from printer. remove cartridge clean it and re-install. connect again it will work fine.

Print head problem


Do a reset:

Dell Printer reset

1. With the power on,unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
Plug the power cord back into the wall socket.


Dell Printers

To run a nozzle clean, perform the following steps:
1. Verify the All-In-One Printer 922 is powered on and connected to a computer.
2. Verify that the paper support (input tray) has clean, plain white paper loaded.
3. Press the Menu button.
4. Press the Down button until Mode: Maintenance appears on the LCD screen.
5. Press the Menu button.
The Dell 922 Maintenance Menu appears on the LCD screen.

6. Press the Down button until Clean Cartridges appears on the LCD screen.
7. Press the Start button.
The AIO 922 prints the cleaning page. This process cleans the ink cartridges and resolves many print quality issues.

Color printer won't print color


Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Blank paper after print


Have you tried cartridge maint. the print head may need a cleaning cycle.

DELL AIO 922- All in one- Printer won't print


Remove the right ink cartridge (color). You will get an error saying the cartridge is empty, but ignore that. Hit cancel on your printer. Print your job...when your print screen comes up, under preferences check the box for print colors in black and white. Your printer should print just fine without the color cartridge. Ignore the flashing red light.

Have you unplugged it from the wall for a few minutes? That will flush the memory and give it a clean start. Below is some other info I found.
