Question about Kenmore 15864/15862 Top Load Washer
Today when doing laundry, bed sheets got stuck around the agitator. When we came back some time later we can smell a burning plastic smell. Sheets were entangled around agitator with tub full of soapy water. I managed to get get the sheets out, but now the washer won't advance to a spin cycle to drain the tub. Is there an internal fuse that is blown? Not sure if its worth fixing or just to buy a new more efficient model.
The transmission probably stripped the worm gear that drives the drum - you would have to crack it open and take a peek.
