QuickCam IM I'm trying to connect to another computer with the same equipment. It shows that my contact is on line. I can IM this person. I can request an audio or video conversation and she can accept it. The problem I have is, it says it is connecting to the computer and never does. It shows that the session has ended. Why can't I connect to my parties computer?

Make sure that the camera is set up in the Windows Live programme or MSN depending on what you or your friend use. Setting the cam up with the software you get with it is as neccassary as setting it up to use in MSN or Live. Go to the tools tab and then web cam settings to calibrate the audio and video.

go to the control panel and click on system..select device manager on the left..make sure your camera is connected..if you see any unknown devices highlight and uninstall them....insert your installation cd for the quickcam and re-run the installation...

Ok, well sometime people might not know, but there computer could be on mute, if thats not th case, then try turning up ur volume, or try to connect the voulme on the AIM when you puul up there web cam. There a V for Video and A for Audio. Hit Audio on yours and see if that works.

It depends on what you're using to videoconference.

With most IM (instant messaging) programs there's a button to show your camera to other users.
I know for sure that YahooIM and MS messenger both have this feature.
