Try removing the AC power cord from the wall, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds or so, then plug it in and try it again. This may reset the timer to default off position. Otherwise unplug it overnight to make sure all the capacitors have fully discharged then plug it in and try again.

Good Luck

Blinking red light on pic off/timer

Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Power went off breifly, when it came on the tv would not come back on , a red light flashes on the tv its the timer rec light

Hello,

your TV is having a power problem. The power supply board is defective that's why the TV won't power up. Its receiving power but it cannot transfer the current to the necessary part of the TV because a capacitor, diode, etc may have been faulty. Until these bad components are replaced, the TV might not come on.

If you know about TV repairers, I would suggest that you open the TV and read the power board/panel with a meter, detect the bad component and replace it. Take note that TV stores a lot of current that can shock, so leave the TV for a while before you open it.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you.

I wish you good luck.

Hello, I bought an in door smart digital timer (G.E.) or Jasco product for my front porch light. I hooked all the wires as instructed and programmed according to instructions. I have a two wire system, so i left the green wire unattached. The light comes on but flashes very fast. What's up with that? This is the second one i've replaced, the first one did the same thing!. Whats wrong?
Thanks,...

This sounds wrong. Normally Red would go to Live, Black to Neutral and White would go to the light but without more details of the model it's a guess

HELLO OUR 53" PANASONIC REAR PROJECTION TV JUST WENT RED LAST NIGHT AND THEN WENT OFF AND IT WILL NOT COME BACK ON ANY IDEAS. IT TRIEDS TO START UP WITH A BLINK AND THEN OFF AGAIN

This model TV has a gasket on the red picture tube that faces down. The coolant leaks from between the picture tube and the lense assembly. When this happens the red tube over heats and shorts out internally and usually cracks the glass. You will probably find coolant all over the circuit board if you open the back panel of the TV.
Call a good TV Tech to repair this. It will cost over $500 if the picture tube is still available.

The timer on button flashes

The timer light blinking indicates a failure in the TV set. Either the vertical circuit or horizontal circuit has failed and needs repair. It actually has nothing to do with the timer circuit.
In my experience its probably a vertical output chip, smalla capacitor and zener diode. There may also be an open resistor.
Cost to repair in the 50-75 dollar range usually

I have a sony wega

Generally speaking whent he set shuts itself down, the standby light will blink a code. This will be a count followed by a short pause and then the count again etc.

When teh set shuts down, count the blinks and post it here. That will indicate the circuit that has the problem.
