If you hear a clicking noise that sounds like the ballast trying to power on the lamp, but nothing happens, the lamp may be faulty.

Here you can get your lamp that most likely needs replacing.

We lost power the other night. Now I have a continuous green blinking light and it won't turn on. I have tried everything the manual says.

Try Going To The Mitsubishi Web Site. Downloading The Mitsubishi Service Manuals If You Don't Already Have It. It Will recommend The parts You Need To ordering. Circuit board photos are also shown which provide a visual reference during the repair process.

If you decide to have a service technician do the repair, insist that the "DM" module is removed from the TV and ONLY the four 1000uF, 16V Capacitors (Caps) located on the DM Module are replaced. MOST techincians will INSIST on replacing the entire DM Module and not simply the capacitors. The cost is about $200 for a technician to replace the capacitors and $1000 for replacement of the DM Module. As you will read below, doing the repair yourself will cost less than $4.00 for the 4 Caps.

No picture and i replaced the bulb

Joe,
I've never heard of a color wheel costing that much even with labor included - I think I'd try to find another tech for his advice.. If you have trouble locating one try NESDA or let me know what city/state you're in and maybe I can help recommend someone.
That said, if the lamp is good the next logical thing to check is the ballast. If the ballast is not supplying voltage to the lamp then it clearly won't light. A ballast is not that expensive, similar to a ballast in a floresent light - only a bit more complex. In any event I would strongly suggest finding a real professional first we are out there...

Samsung TV model HCN5527W

The actual Convergence amp ICs not located on the convergence board are probaly what killed the origional convergence module, and likewise has killed the new board. You will need to change the convergence ICs first then replace the convergence module.
I would recommend getting the service manual . I can post a link if you would like.

Panasonic pt47wx49 taking out board A to replace IC on heat sink

You have a problem with the STK convergence modules. They're on the center circuit board attached to an aluminum heat sink that's about 8" long and 6" tall. You may be able to recreate the problem (hour glass effect) by gently moving the heat sink (which the modules are connected to). This gives the hour glass effect on the picture and the advanced convergence screen. This is an indication that the modules pins aren't solidly connected (meaning soldered) properly. Remove the circuit board (not sure what you mean by white clips, but you should be able to take out just the convergence board) and clean the old solder off & resolder the modules pins to the circuit board reconnected the board and then retest by again pushing on the heat sink. The "factory" job was good enough for 3-4 years but the heat (and these modules do create a lot of heat) and stress created from repeated use eventually takes it's toll, weakens the pin connections and our problem occurs. take the appropriate cautions working around the high voltage of the set & use a non-conducting piece of plastic to push the heat sink when doing tests.
If soldering doesn't help, then the modules have died and need replacing. Don't buy the $10 cheap ones. Most of them have an upgraded version that is stronger. Also look for any burned resistors in the vicinity of the modules.
Best of luck, hope ya fix it.

Blue shadows have appeared on the screen

Hello All,

This is a convergence amplifier problem, it can be fixed for a relatively low price, however I do not suggest that you do this on your own because it may lead to more damage then what you have now.. The price the repairman is quoting you is fair, although I have repaired such problems for the cost of the parts and the labor, total of $180.00, but that was because I am able to work without overhead. I would suggest that you have a qualified TV repair technician fix this problem but if you really want to do it yourself here we go:

Turn the TV off and unplug it
locate the two STK IC modules on the metal heat sink (usually on the deflection board),
Remove the deflection board,
Unscrew the modules from the heat sink,
locate all of the biasing resistors connected to the STK modules and de-solder them along with the modules,
Remove the modules and the resistors,
Replace the modules and resistors with new ones (purchased beforehand),
re-solder all components (making sure that you do not create any shorts)

Check your work with a magnifying glass.

Re-install the deflection board, and power on the TV.

Adjust convergence to manufactures specifications.

I hope this helps,
Thank you,
Shuttle83

HC-P4752W - IC Replacement vs Convergence Module.

The colors weren't lining up correctly on my HC-P4752W which is only about 30 months old. I did a little bit of research and got ahold of the people at http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/ They recommended replacing the IC's as well as the IC resistors. I purchased the replacement parts from their site and made the repairs myself. I should mention that I didn't have any previous soldering experience. The repair was easy and a complete success. You may find replacement parts elsewhere for slightly cheaper but what you won't find is the prompt and detailed customer service that they provide. They gave me there # and said to call if I had any questions before or during repair. I took advantage of their services and got answers every time I called.

No power with remote or manual power switch

Your convergence module is probably bad. It is a plug in module, so labor would be lower if the convergence settings are still good. The bill would be about $300.00 If not, the labor for convergence would add to the bill. If the whole job needed full convergence the cost would be about $500 to $600. Hope this helps, Lee http://www.CrazyComputers.com
