Open the CD by right click, there you will find many dll files, in them search the msmd4w.dll and copy in a new folder, from there browse the msmd4w.dll, after it will ask for another dll files simply again browse the CD location.

Very likely it is the software that you are using. I would run virus scan like Mohan suggested, and then test again. If the problem is not a virus, then I would uninstall the scanning program and reinstall it...or contact the software manufacturer if you have a maintenance agreement with them. There is a good free downloadable high speed document scanning software available if you want to load it and verify that it is a software problem.
