You may be confusing +/- power supply rail fuses with left and right speaker fuses.

Onyko tx nr616 receiver keeps shutting off. Only stays on for approximately 3 seconds. Can you help?

The amp protection circuit has been activated. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet immediately. Disconnect all speaker cables and input sources, and leave the AV receiver with its power cord disconnected for 1 hour. After that, reconnect the power cord and reconnect an input and a pair of speaker wires onto the unit. If the receiver still does not turn on than you will have to bring it in for service. Turn up the volume and if the receiver doesn't shut down, power off the receiver and add another pair of speakers. Power up the unit again and turn up the volume. If it doesn't shut down, power off the unit again. Now connect all your input sources and turn on your receiver. If the unit shuts down again, your unit will need to be further serviced at an authorized Onkyo service center.

My tx-sv525 is turning its self on and off when ever i plug it in no matter if it has speakers hooked up or not. i have tried every speaker setup i can think of. whats the next step?

Speakers have nothing to do with spontaneous power ON. It either has a severe and dangerous internal power circuitry issue or it's sensing a remote control command to turn power on and off. Block thereceiver so it can't possibly see any external controllers and see if that stops it.

The Onyko TX-DS595 receveiver won't respond to remote.

When unit is on hold down vcr button and press standy power button. display will read 'CLEAR". turn back on and see if remote works. note that this will erase any of your settings. Point the remote at any camera and look at the camera display. If you see a white light when you press buttos remote is working. Remove the top cover, remove front cover and resolder connections on remote receiver. If you intend to do this let me know and I can give you more details.

When turned on and with no source playing there is a hum or buzz sound, I would say it is an AC line buzz. Please help!

I would agree that it's AC line noise.

Disconnect everything except the speakers, including anything drawing power from the convenience outlet and see if it changes.

Check all RCA connections for good contact. Remove/reinsert them with a twisting motion.

Try reversing the ac cord polarity.
