The hinges are very tightly spring loaded. pull the hinge out (be careful) and insert a nail or similar item in the hole that is exposed in the hinge after it is pulled out. the door will now slide down into place. just slide it down into place and remove the nails from the holes

Re assembling the door....

As a general rule of thumb, oven door glass assemblies are not intended to be removed for "cleaning" or some such procedure. Go to www.repairclinic.com and enter RBS275PDB8. You will be presented with a list of common replacement parts and may be able to view a generic Whirlpool oven disassembly video which may help.

How to put oven door back on after removing!

Although very tight (because the oven is only 1 yr old) i managed to get the hinges into the open position, then slide the door into position on the oven and close the door. The hinges did go back and lock as they should but I struggled for almost 30 mins before success.

Can't get the door back on the oven

Yes, take a pair of pliers to pullout the hinges. They are springloaded and it seems hard but they are designed to keep the door shut tight.

How can I remove oven door so that I can replace the broken glass

I just took my oven door off and took it apart to clean the glass inside. I don't have a maytag but they probably all work alike. Just open the door like you are going to broil something and just lift it up. It should slide right off. Shouldn't have to unscrew anything. Hope this helps. Arlene

GE JKP45 double wall oven shuts off

This sounds like a loose connection (solder joint) on the main control board. I had one that had a similar problem. checked the price of a control board $350. I took the control panel off, took the board apart and found a loose connection on one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection. oven works fine now.

I finally got my oven to work properly by shutting off the breaker and resetting the main clock. Cured the always locked problem as well as the beep twice when self cleaning.

Have to repeat this every few months since the problem seems to come back.

Need help putting GE oven door back together again

they're called towers. They go on the 2 long screws once you've put the screws through - so they go between the two panels. They are used to space the 2 panels so that they line up flush when they are back together.

How to take apart oven door

you need to remove the door. On your model just grab the door and lift and it should lift right off. Then remove the screws that run along the bottom of the door. Remove the bottom trim and the glass should slide down and off. Reverse to assemble
