Check your lint screen. If you do not get a complete "lint pattern" you probably have a clogged or partially clogged vent which will cause your dryer to overheat and prematurely shut off. Clean your vent and you'll return to normal operation. If you have a vertical vent (goes up through the roof) get a proffessional to clean it. Dryer vent issues are the #1 cause of house fires according to the U.S Department of Consumer Affairs. Over 16,000 per year.

Hello James;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Good for you. You purchased a simple unit that does not have all of the buzzers and fancy controls that can go wrong.

The normal cycle of your unit is the temperature will rise to 20 degrees above set temperature and then shut down, until you reach 20 degrees below set temperature.

Your problem is you have a bad door seal. Your compressor is running trying to maintain the set temperature.

Ok, lets fix this problem:

1.) There are two screws in the bottom front of your refrigerator.
You want to turn these screws clockwise to raise the front of the refrigerator so it is pitched slightly back. This will assist in maintaining a good seal.
2.) Wet the door gaskets. With a hair dryer and a kitchen spatula, heat the door gaskets up pulling them out with the spatula trying to expand the crushed gasket.

If you have a bad gasket. It is easily replaced , a grooved slot. Pull out the old gasket and insert the new one.
Heat the new gasket in hot water for 30 minutes. Form and expand it with your hair dryer and spatula.

25605805-3lxxwax0f0xbqftwrz0flikt-2-0.jpg 2.) Lets finish the job: After time the door gaskets become crushed and do not maintain a good seal, so you have to recondition them. Inspect the door gasket, are there cracks and worn sections? With a hair dryer and spatula, heat the gasket while using the spatula to expand

My older model of Frigidaire refrigerator will not stop running. we cleaned dust and stuff out of the back, but won't shut off. Whats wrong with it?

To check the thermostat, just remove one of the wires from it, if it then stops, but keeps going and does not shut off when you reconnect it, the t/stat is bad.

I have a Fridgidaire Front load Gallery Series Washer, Even when the machine is off the water is still comming into the barrell and the cycles aren't working right. help????

Hi bingoqueen12 - Often when a unit continues to fill with water, it is because the water valve or sensor is faulty or the control board is experiencing a communication problem. The unit may possibly think that there is not enough water inside and/or the control board is not controlling the water valve correctly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

remove racks, shut door select self clean on computer, push up or down arrows for clean time amount and it should lock door and begin cleaning....always select the minimum amt of clean time allowable, for this will minimize chances of damage to your oven,if not clean after use-wait 24 hrs before running self clean mode again

Washer Knob broke

You can use the knob to turn the washer to the correct cycle, and then use a pair of long nose pliers to gently pull the center hub out to start the washer. This is of course only a work around. I'll post more if I figure out how to fix this as well.

Clothes catching inside at top of drum

IT sounds like you have a roller that is broken or the drum is off track...when a roller breaks or the support bracket that the roller is attached to has a screw loose and has shifted position and I surmise based on your description that the front left roller is affected or the drum is off track up toward the front of the dryer...that would make the front of the drum drop creating the situation you described. The only way to get to this problem depending on the to remove the top of the dryer...or the back of the dryer...and remove the access the careful to observe closely how the belt is attached to the spring loaded arm (tensioner) that keeps the belt tight...and replace it the way it came out. Any problems get back to me and I can walk anyone with good mechanical skills through exactly what to do.

Hope this helps....please rate me...the Fang
