Hello, We have a Techcessories remote control for our tv. It dates back a few years and we cannot remember how to program same. It's a very simple, slim model. Purchased at Radio Shack and has a serial...

I have the 15-8911 remote; hopefully this helps you for yours.
To scan through all codes to find the correct one, the manual recommends to:
1) Turn on the TV
2) Press m (mute), then Power and hold both until the red light blinks twice
3) Press VOL- (volume down) three times
4) Alternate between Power and CH+ until your TV turns off (you may have to press these keys 50-60 times)
5) When the TV turns off, press m (mute). The red light will blink twice.
The remote is now ready to use.

Cheers.

Same thing

normally this happens when there is too high of an audio output. To fix this, change the system to tuner and turn down the volume (if it allows you to) and then unplug the system. Plug back in and it should work. If that doesnt work, try unplugging for 15 min to allow it to reset.

My 605 turns off and red light blinks when volume goes past 58

Shorted speakers can cause the unit going on protection mode (the red light blinking) when a certain volume is reached.

Test with a set of replacement speakers.

If it is not the speakers, it is probably transistors in the amp final or something nearby. Test also input output board.

Onkyo tx 906 amp

1) I bought the same Onkyo model from goodwill a couple years ago and it had the same problem. The solution is simple: Get yourself some Deoxit D5. This is a spray that will clean out all the oxidation in the volume pot. To do this you'll need to remove the cover of the receiver. Deoxit can be bought at guitar shops, or if you know a musician they might be willing to do it for you.

2) User manual is available for download, for free. Google "Onkyo tx-906 receiver manual".

CRATE PA-B6350 no output

The 2 speaker jacks are wired in parallel. If your subs are 4 ohm rated the amp is seeing a 2 ohm load and may be trying to protect itself - hence the red light. I would suggest you unplug 1 of the subs and see if the problem goes away. You may have a problem with one of your subs. This amp is probably not the best choice for such demanding work as it is not fan cooled. Good luck.

Volume Switch (Encoder) needs to be replaced professionally. Desolder the old one properly, and insert/solder the new part. Problem solved. Order part from here:

Onkyo TX-SR805

When you turn up the volume, the amp works harder and generates more heat. There is a small transistor attached to the heat sink that detects the excessive heat and shuts down the amp before there is damage. There is a circuit inside that should detect the increased volume and turn on the fans. Either this detection circuit is defective or the fan driver transistor is defective. This unit may need to see a servicer. In the meantime, you can provide additional air flow to keep the heatsinks working efficiently. Realize that this is a short term "fix" and you should really get this repaired ASAP to prevent permanent damage to the amp components.
