Question about Sony Cybershot DSC-T200 Digital Camera

Open Question

Broken battery/memory stick compartment access door Cybershot DSC

Sony Cybershot DSC-T200 . I have a camera that the battery access door has a broken lock , which renders it almost useless without tape covering the bottom that you constantly hav to remove and put back to charge the battery(unless you get the HD cable to charge the camera through the port - which would be blocked by the tape anyway)
Does anyone know if you can purchase the door or take it anywhere to be repaired?

Battery compartment lock system is broken. What I was told to do is to change the whole battery compartment, but the prices charged in Brazil is not affordable. Is there any other cheap solution?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Sony Cyber-Shot Battery Compartment Door Broken

I'm having the same problem with my DSC-W1 camera. I dropped my camera and the battery door latches broke.
I found a replacement door on Ebay for $9.95
I followed the instructions in the description and easily removed the broken door from my camera. Now i'm just waiting on the new door to arrive so I could slide the new door in.
I hope this was helpful.

Here's the seller I bought the door from. Hopefully the seller has more doors. =) :

SOURCE: WONT HOLD DATE/TIME, KEEPS REQUESTING TO RESET!

Hi there, been playing around trying to get camera going,as i took apart (easy enough, if you can handle a watch repair screwdriver) what i did find seems to be a standard watch battery located bottom left next to speaker. Pretty sure if you replace this, it should solve your problem. Just be carefull when taking out ribbon cable!

Cheers Greg.

Saturday and Sunday - 9:00 am to 8:00 pm ET

Then, contact the nearest dealer to get the Battery door fixed instead of sending for service.
