If your receiver has A and B channel speaker selectors you may want to toggle through the two and see if the sound comes back. That could easily have been pressed from the remote. If not try hooking up only one speaker at a time. If there is a short, or blown speaker the amp will usually shut its audio off so it doesn't damage anything internal. Hope this is helpful.

Just installed the deck and it works but there isnt any sound

Assuming you have checked the obvious mute button, all aftermarket decks have a ground fault system integrated. If one of the leads to the speaker wires is touching ground, then it will shut off all outputs to the speakers. This is easily checked with a volt meter or a speaker itself, whichever is more readily available. Disconnect all wiring for the speakers you just hooked up and simply hook up only one speaker to any of the sound outputs. Do not let the other leads touch anything. Turn on the radio and if it works, you need to chase a speaker wire that is touching ground, plug in one at a time and go from there.

My yamaha RXV 430 doesnot start with standby button or remote. It is completely dead. The servicing agent changed a small circuit board behindd the transformer. After that it worked for a few days. Now...

It is possible that the amplifier had encountered a fault with a higher current drain which had triggered it to a protection fault condition. The fault can be your output drivers- the MOSFETS/IC's fitted for both the channels, Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise like a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation.
You need to confirm and replace the specific stages or outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board, maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias , maybe a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the protect is off then check for short on the speakers.

Short light is on how do i reboot it

You can't reboot an amp. If it's an internal short then unless you take it to a repair shop, it's pretty much dead. Try unplugging all the speaker inputs/outputs first and just leave the 12v wire, remote wire and ground wire connected. Turn on your radio and if the protect light goes out, then there's a problem with one of your speaker input/output wires and maybe your RCA wires. If removing all the speaker wires worked, plug in one at a time until it kicks into protect mode which will tell you which input/output wire or speaker is shorted. good luck

I have a radio shack universal remote and am trying to program my dvd player to it; I have however lost my manual. the dvd player is an apex

It would be helpful to have the model number for your 3-in-One remote. However, most of the codes are common for your Apex DVD player. These are codes a RadioShack Remote for an Apex DVD player. 0672, 0717, 0755, 0794, 0795, 0796, 0797, 083. Press the button for DVD on your remote. Then press and hold the Program button until it blinks. then, enter your 4-digit code, after entering, the Program button will blink. Aim the remote at the DVD and press the Power button on the remote. If the DVD turns off, then the remote is programmed for the DVD player. If not, repeat instructions and enter another code, until one is found that will turn off the DVD when the power button is pressed. You can also download an owners manual from RadioShack.com with the model number of your unit.

I bought the RCA RTD325W DVD home theater system. The speakers work with the dvd/radio tuner but cannot get them to work with tv. Also have Satellite tv, do I need to connect to something on that? Or is...

Your TV must have a set of Audio Out connections. Connect them to the Aux In on the back of the RTD325W. Then toggle the Line-In/Aux button on the remote until display reads Aux In. System should work.

Advent DVD player in vehicle - can't get sound through speakers

I just solved this problem on my Ford Edge 2010. Start the dvd. Hit the FM button on the remote. It will pop up an FM radio frequency in the top left corner of the screen. For example, ours is 88.7. Tune the car radio to that frequency and the sound should come through the speakers. Hope it works for you.

Remote not working

there is a way to test the remote contorl. get a radio and put it on the am section. aim the remote control towards the radio and push the buttons on the remote. if it is working, you should be able to hear some statics from the radio speakers. try it and let me know. if you do not hear statics, they you need to open it and clean it with rubbing alcohol. use q tips to do clean the button on the board but be careful not to put any alcohol on the rubber buttons from the inside, it will ruin the finish on that. it will destroy your remote. good luck.
